Rev. fantastic animal left, with pellet in looped tail and pellet in front of nose. 0.61g. [Spink 847 - £300 in VF for common types, this is much rarer]. Found – Market Rasen, Lincs. 2015. Weakly struck in places and some deposits. EXTREMELY RARE type C variety – Booth only records one coin [C8]. VF

See ‘English Silver Coinage’ [ESC] 989 – rarity R4 [only 11 to 20 examples known to exist]. Weakly struck to the left of shield and old scratch to right of shield on obv. EXTREMELY RARE. GF
