A 19th century French silver wine tasterCesar TonnelierParis, 1845-1882Of traditional form, 950 standard, 6.7cm dia.; together with a further five examples comprising: one with snake handle, 950 standard, engraved L.F Duchemin, A Domptin to side, no maker's mark noted, 7.5cm dia.; a 950 standard example engraved 'Vidier' to side, no maker's mark noted, 7.5cm dia.; an 800 standard example by Ernest Eschwege, Paris, c.1900, with coin inset to base, 6.9cm dia.; and two smaller examples, one possibly by Ernest Eschwege, 5.9cm dia., and one 950 standard example with indistinct maker's mark, 6cm dia., total weight approx. 8.6oz (6) Condition Report: The tasters are in good overall condition. Some scratching, minor pitting and and nicking noted to all. Some bruising and small dings also. Some wear to decoration but no repairs or damage noted.
