Found Nottinghamshire, UK, 1990s-2000s. [12, No Reserve]. Fair and better; first good fine and scarce.

Dated 1844 AD. Young head. Obv: profile bust with date below and VICTORIA DEI GRATIA legend; fitted with brooch pin. Rev: crowned arms in wreath with BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID DEF legend; skilfully enamelled in five colours, the exposed metal areas engraved gilded. Edge: impressed with DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI VIII inscription with star stops. For coin: S. 3882; ESC 6th 2561 (old 280); BSC 431. 27.39 grams, 38mm (1 1/2"). [No Reserve]. Very fine work, attractive and wearable, very minor marks to enamelling.

A mixed bronze group comprising: a discoid plaque with beaded border, profile female bus with legend 'MDM 1601'; an elliptical plaque with profile male bust within a border of lion-masks and foliage, legend 'AVG.DIVI.FIL'; a disc with raised border, central male figure in toga and cuirass holding a baton, legend 'CAR.EM.II. D.G. DVX.SAB.PRIN.PEDE.REX.CYP.1673' (based on a coin of Carlo Emmanuel II); a cast discoid plaque depicting the judgement of Solomon with seated king, entreating females, armed man holding an infant by one leg, courtiers in the field. 697 grams total, 10-14.5cm (4 - 15 3/4"). Property of a Hampshire collector; acquired 1990s. [4, No Reserve]. Fine condition.
