a French ten centimes coin dated 1853, having been re-worked so that the centre lifts on a hinge to reveal the inscription SGT D. MAHONEY 13 L/DGNS 25.10.1854. Sergeant Daniel Mahoney, 13th Light Dragoons, shown in musters as being present with the regiment on 25th October 1854, and listed off duty and sick on 27th October 1854.

Selection of Sterling Silver and unmarked white metal items. Five items altogether. To include an Art Deco Sterling Silver Cigarette Box, a Sterling Silver Napkin ring engraved "Jane", a Sterling Silver dish with a 1950 Half Dollar Coin in the centre, a Sterling Silver Teaspoon and an unmarked white metal bird ornament. The Art Deco Sterling Silver Cigarette Box is hallmarked with makers marks "T&S", the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the Lion Passant mark for Sterling Silver and the date letter "M" for 1936. The Cigarette Box measures approx. 5 1/4 inches length x 3 1/2 inches width x 1 1/4 inches depth. Condition of the Cigarette Box: There is a big dent to one of the corners of the lid. There is also little dents around the edge of the lid and around the Cigarette Box. The Sterling Silver Napkin ring is hallmarked with makers marks "D.BROS" for possibly Davies Brothers or Dingley Brothers. There is the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the Lion Passant for Sterling Silver and date letter "W" for 1946. Condition of the Sterling Silver Napkin ring: The Napkin ring is in very good condition commensurate with the age of the piece. The Sterling Silver dish with the 1950 Half Dollar Coin is hallmarked "B. & M." STERLING 761". The dish measures approx. 3 3/4 inches across diameter by approx. 3 1/2 inches width by approx. 1 inch deep. Condition of the Sterling Silver dish: Is in good condition commensurate with the age of the dish. The Sterling Silver Teaspoon is engraved "PAF". It is hallmarked with the crown assay mark for Sheffield, the Lion Passant mark for Sterling Silver, the date letter "N" for 1955 and the makers marks "FH" for Francis Howard Ltd. The Teaspoon is boxed. Condition: The Teaspoon is in very good condition commensurate with the age of the piece. The unmarked white metal bird ornament measures approx. 4 inches high. The gross weight of the Sterling Silver is approx. 440 grams.
Maria Theresa 1780 Thaler Re-strike Coin Pendant on a Silver Chain. An impressive size Coin Pendant containing a Re-strike of the Austrian 1780 Maria Theresa Thaler. Both the mount and chain are Austrian made and 835 silver (83.5% purity). The mount has a barley twist design with a ring to the top and is unmarked. The pendant has a fine '835' stamped chain. The coin is .833 silver (83.3% purity). The coin measures approx. 40mm x 40mm. The Silver chain measures approx. 28 inches in length. Condition: The coin pendant and chain are in good condition commensurate with the age of the pieces. Total gross weight of the Coin Pendant and chain is approx. 37.20 grams.

Both sides designed by Jody Clark, designer of the Fifth (and final) portrait of Her Late Majesty that appears on Britain’s current coinage. On the reverse, the Imperial State Crown rests upon a rose, thistle, shamrock and leek.
