dating: circa 1900 provenance: Borneo, Straight, single-edged blade, with small carving at the back near the weak. Deer-horn hilt with vegetable fibre wire binding, the pommel richly carved and pierced, decorated with remains of coloured horsehair. Beautiful wooden scabbard partially carved with vegetable fibre and metal wire binding. At the back side scabbard complete of a knife (lunggai), decorated with coloured goat hair, fibre suspension ropes and with a copper coin dated 1898. length 64.5 cm.
dating: 19th Century provenance: Borneo, Interesting, curved, single-edged blade, widening towards the weak, with groove at the back, curl at the base and geometrical engravings all over its length. Quillon shaped as a coin dated '1889'. Sculpted wooden grip, partially covered with vegetal wire binding. length 69.5 cm.
dating: 1907 provenance: Borneo, Slightly curved, single-edged blade (two pitting), slightly rising towards the weak, engraved on a side and with remains of brass inlaid-works, carved decorations on the back near the weak. Bone hilt richly sculpted, decorated with horsehair, covered with vegetable fibre wire binding at the base. Quillon consisting of a coin dated '1907'. Wooden scabbard sculpted on a side and with remains of the fibre scabbard for a knife, with vegetable fibre stripes (one is restored) and decorated with horsehair. length 60 cm.
