We are not in a position to comment on whether this box is working, we don't have the original key. Assume the mechanism will need some attention before the box is functional again. We have tried it with a coin that fits the slot with no result.

The mount is slightly sprung, which has allowed the coin to come free, this is stamped 18ct and has some surface scratches. The coin has a few dents to the edges, some areas of black detritus to the edges, where it has been within the mount, otherwise ok.
