ETHIOPIAN GARUDE/SHOTEL SABRE The Gurade is an Ethiopian sabre. The hilt is a single massive piece of a Rhino horn with a clear fibrous structure which has some damage to it. The hilt has a Austrian 1780 Thaler trader coin attached to the top. The scabbard is tooled leather, with an up-curving tip typical of Ethiopian sabres.
