An early Victorian 18ct gold combination vesta and coin case, the vesta section inscribed 'AW from AEM October 1909', D & F Ltd, London 1837, stamped 18ct, the upper section with sprung coin holder, length 7cm, width 3.2cm, approx. 56.5g.Footnote: This was valued for insurance by Prestige Valuations, Hatton Garden London in 2016, with a replacement valuation of £5,600.00.Condition Report: - The sprung release button for the coin holder is missing. There is an indent to the coin holder lid to the front. Very tiny indents to the back and wear as expected with age and use.
