A Spanish silver Philip V 1738 eight reales coin, bezel set in a plain pendant mount with a scroll top, the frame engraved 'Treasure from 'Hollandia', sunk 1743 sterling silver'. The Hollandia was a Dutch East India Company ship wrecked near the Isles of Scilly on 13 June 1743, only a year after being built. The wreck was discovered in 1971 by Rex Cowan, a London attorney. A large quantity of coins were recovered, along with bronze cannons and mortars.Condition report: Surface marks/tarnish.
