An Edwardian silver patent coin holder J W Benson Ltd, Birmingham 1904, of rectangular form with loop, one side to accommodate sovereigns and half sovereign, with inscribed patent J.W.B in a shield cartouche, the other five denominations ½d-1d-3d-6d-1/-, 2½in. (6.4cm.) long, weight 2.1 tr.oz. *Condition: In good condition, slight ripple effect to silver by sovereign holder, nothing else to note.
A 1947 Mexico Gold 50 Pesos coin 900 fineness, weighing 41.8 grams, the Mexican 50 Pesos is a large and very interesting gold bullion coin. On the obverse, a portrait of the Winged Victory (El Angel) is featured alongside the year 1821, marking the first year of Mexico's independence. The reverse features the Mexican coat of arms, with an eagle holding a serpent in its beak while perched atop a cactus. The coins were minted between 1921 and 1947. *Condition: Appears good, comes loose, not in capsule.
