A Victorian full sovereign, dated 1887, within a yellow metal pendant mount upon associated trace link chain with barrel fastening, stamped '9c' gross weight 19gms Condition report: Jump ring between sovereign and chain is base metal. Chain 50cm long. Links to chain are worn and thinning, commensurate with use. Dents to links are seen with x10 loupe. Barrel clasp with good snap. Lead repair to jump ring attaching chain to clasp (seen with x10 loupe)Mount to sovereign stamped '9ct' General scuffs and scratches to face of coin and mount. Similarly with chain.

The reticule having rose design with beaded tassels and the coin purse having design of child feeding birds. Together with a beadwork steel cut bead George III purse. Measures 14cm length.

Containing a Duke of Wellington Peninsular half penny token to Madrid 1812 commemorating Wellington's victory at Salamanca over Napoleon's troops, twelve loose double sided paper inserts inscribed with the individual battles of the Peninsular and French campaigns of the Napoleonic Wars, and two extra inscribed paper inserts fixed to inside of lid and base.
