A rare Sunderland rummer, engraved with both the 1797 and 1859 `levelled` bridge, the 1797 bridge shown with a sailing ship, the later bridge with a steam ship, also with a shield-shaped cartouche engraved with initials "Mrs. A.J.", raised on a `coin` knopped stem (containing a metal disk) and with a slightly domed foot, 7in. (18cms) high. NB: To have views of the `new` and `old` bridge is highly unusual as is the dedication to a lady.
