A OAK AND IRON BOUND RENT OR POOR BOX LATE 16TH OR EARLY 17TH CENTURY The hinged lid with coin slot, strap locks, the interior of the lid with old paper label 17cm high, 33cm wide, 21cm deep Provenance: Paper label stating this was from the estate of Viscount Wenman, Thame Park, Thame, Oxfordshire Condition Report: There is no key for this box, there is a lock present but it is missing the plate to the interior, the strapwork with lugs and cut out sections to fit padlocks also (no padlocks present with the lot either) Overall with dark colour and patinaMarks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use , indentations, splits, cracks, some openings to joints.
