One of three editions dated 1627, octavo, all three variants are rare in ESTC, this edition with one U.S. copy: Huntington; bound in modern half leather, marbled paper boards, Macclesfield copy, with North Library bookplate, ESTC notes imprint date cropped in all known copies, true of this copy as well, last letter of last work in lines four and seven of title, 5 1/4 x 3 in. This manual was printed to provide proper weights and values for each English coin, i.e., piece-weight in grains to pounds, shillings, pence, and farthings, and to allow weighed coins that had been clipped and therefore carried a diminished value to be weighed and valued based on their actual weight, as opposed to their nominal face value.
