This beautiful bird cage with 3 singing birds from aprox. 1885 is very rare and has a coin operated mechanism to activate the "singing". It's still is in perfect condition. Blaise Bontems (1814 - 1881) was the first inventor to really reproduce mechanically the singing of birds, but this particular piece is most likely made by his son – Charles Bontems. These birdcages were not ment to be toys or novelties, but rather pieces of art for the rich and famous of the second half of the 19th century. The Bryans BULLION is often considered by many collectors, one of William Bryan's greatest, if not the last great innovation among his machines. Made in 1963 the Bullion machine was the Roulette Gaming device missing from the portfolio of coin operated machines with the Bryans name. Working condition untested. Locked, without a key. Glass panel has a cracked in the middle. The orange painted case is missing color in a lot of spots and show white color underneath. Size: 83 x 42 x 27 cm. Condition: Good overall.
Very rare original Electric Sailor shocker game from around 1910. It was made by the company ATEA in Antwerp. After inserting a coin, hold the Electric Sailor with your left hand and push his arm down as far as possible with your right hand until the power surge becomes too much for you! The cast iron Electric Sailor is visually in good condition, but has been repainted. The wiring inside needs to be restored (it's over 100 years old), a few parts are missing, but a restorer should be able to replace them. The lock has been replaced.
