A reproduction mahogany coin collectors cabinet, late 20th Century, of rectangular form, the cavetto cornice above six long drawers having brass knop handles, opening to fitted flocked interiors, the bottom drawer of double height with false front, raised on a plinth base, 28.5cm H, 52cm W, 38cm D.
Anglo-Saxon, an anonymous silver sceatta of the Primary Phase series A, probably dating c. AD 675-710. Obverse: inscription TIC in front of radiate bust right set upon a double line with pellets inbetween, broken 'A' and annulets behind. Reverse: inscription [IP]T T[A] around beaded standard containing inscription TOTII, cross projecting from its base, 'horns' and tufa above. About Fine, surfaces slightly coarse. Scarce.
