A GENTLEMAN'S WRISTWATCH BY OMEGA, the circular dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute scale and blued steel hands, to a jewelled manual movement numbered 10005590, the white metal case back numbered 2292 and stamped 'Fond Acier Inoxydable', with possibly later inscription, dial, movement and case signed, case diameter 3.2cm, case length 4.35cm The reference 2292 wristwatch was a popular model supplied by Omega to the Air Ministry during the Second World War, for use by pilots and navigators in the Royal Air Force. The white dial and hands were designed to provide clear legibility, especially for night flying, and were specific to this model. The cases were sometimes composed of a steel back and an aluminium alloy upper case, a less reflective material used to reduce glare.

Rev. Richard Stanley Heywood (1867-1955), who served as Bishop of Mombasa from 1918-36 and Assistant Bishop of Coventry from 1937-47.

M. 6B/159 522/56', on a later fabric strap, case width 3.5cm Issued to RAF pilots and navigators, the Mark VII A 6B/159 wristwatch was used to calculate location and distance, containing a precision movement regulated to chronometer standards. Each wristwatch had to maintain a level of accuracy timed in various positions and at various temperatures accumulated over a twelve hour period. The case back for each wristwatch was inscribed 'A.M.' for Air Ministry, '6B' for 'Aircraft Navigation Equipment, Accessories and Unit Servicing Parts', and '159' for navigation watch, followed by a serial/issue number and year of manufacture.

Barry Appleby (1909-1996) The Weekend Gambols.A horizontal format black pen-and-ink cartoon for the Sunday Express in 1979. The four panels depict George Gambol attempting to resolve a maintenance problem with his car. By the end panel he is covered in oil, surrounded by car parts and, completely bewildered by the instruction manual, has burst spectacularly into tears. Signed in the top left-hand corner of the first panel: Dobs and Barry Appleby (his wife Dobs helped by providing scripts for the cartoons). Above the four panels is written: THE WEEK-END GAMBOLS . . . . by Barry Appleby. The lower margin has annotations by the artist for the printer. A signed letter on headed paper from Barry Appleby dated 28th August 1979 to the original purchaser of the cartoon, with the recipient's details excised, is attached to the back of the frame. Sheet size 24 x 47cm. Framed and glazed. Good condition.

Mulliner drophead coupe, as originally mounted on the Shah of Iran's Phantom IV, in the late 1950s. A Rare Stainless Steel Automatic Centre Seconds Wristwatch, signed Rolex, Oyster Perpetual, Super Precision, model: Explorer, ref: 5504, 1958, (calibre 1530) lever movement signed and numbered 18372, glossy black dial with luminous triangular, baton and Arabic numerals, gilt outer minute track with Swiss below 6, Mercedes luminous hands, screw down crown, screw back numbered inside 5504 and dated II.1958, case serial number 371170, Rolex stainless steel spring loaded riveted oyster bracelet with a deployant clasp stamped Rolex and in an oval cartouche WAB, 36mm wide, with Rolex box and guarantee booklet dated 29/7/60 03.01.19, Case with surface scratches, edge of the bezel with two small dents positioned at 8 and 10, case sides with minor dents, plexi glass with one crack and with surface scratches, original dial finish in my opinion has nicely aged and got good patina, when tilting the dial towards the light the dial shows very small bubbling to the surface throughout which is visible under an eyeglass, Rolex signature and other writing and the outer minute track is clear and not rubbed, luminous hour markers have faded and very minor pieces of luminous is missing and has very slightly shrunk to the hour markers, minute and hour hands are stained and the luminous is discoloured, hand setting correctly, manual hand winding is tight, movement needs cleaning, movement in going order, bracelet with surface scratches, deployant clasp needs attention, the central pin that holds the clasp together with one side of the metal loop missing, spring loaded links are tight, some side rivets are slightly loose. outer Rolex box with minor ware, inside the box lid with a small ink mark.

A Very Rare and Early Pre-Professional Stainless Steel Chronograph Wristwatch, signed Omega, model: Pre-Professional Moonwatch Speedmaster Second Generation, ref: 2998-62, 1962, (calibre 321) lever movement signed and numbered 18949076, column wheel chronograph movement, dust cover, original finish stepped Pre-Professional dial with an early feature applied Omega Logo, luminous baton markers and fifths of seconds track, three dials for seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour registers, original Alpha hands, original drop counter weight centre seconds hand, case with straight lugs and with buttons in the band to operate chronograph, original ''dot over 90'' tachymeter 500 bezel, original double bevel edge screw caseback with speedmaster monogram and signed and numbered inside 2998-62, 40mm wide This is a reference 2998-62 second generation mechanical manual winding Omega housing the calibre 321 movement. It is the same model worn by Wally Schirra in 1962 when it became the first Omega watch model to be worn in space. It is a second generation Speedmaster and followed the first generation broad arrow reference 2915 Speedmaster launched in 1957. This is a rare and early Speedmaster having all the original features and is very hard to find in today's watch market. 20.02.19, Case with surface scratches scratches, case sides, lugs and bezel edges with small dents, case back speedmaster monogram and Omega symbol is slightly rubbed, bracelet/strap is missing, bezel with scratches throughout and the bezel surface is discoloured, plexi glass with small scratches, original dial finish with has aged nicely, luminous baton markers are slightly faded but again nicely aged, original hands are slightly stained and the luminous is slightly discoloured, hand setting correctly and winding smoothly, chronograph is working, movement is clean and in going order.
