A 1975 BMW 320 automatic, registration number OBA 73P, chassis number 4260050, blue. This BMW 320 is believed to be the oldest known right hand drive survivor, leaving the Bavarian factory's production line in November 1975, arriving at the Bridgwater BMW dealership where it was registered to its first owner in January 1976 and had the registration number CYB 1J. The second owner purchased the car in 1978 and the current vendor acquired it in 1997. At this point the vendor resprayed the boot and carried out local repairs to the B pillars with subsequent localised paint repairs. A new rear bumper section was fitted and the wheels were refurbished. All other areas remained untouched and there were just 66,000 miles on the clock. The odometre has since increased to 69,000 miles. Since the initial refurbishment no further remedial work has been necessary apart from regular servicing and replacement of consumables. This extremely original BMW still retains its original tool kit and Blaupunkt radio. Now registered OBA 73P, it is finished in blue with a contrasting blue cloth and vinyl interior. The history file contains the owner's handbook, a radio manual, a four page article featuring this car in Total BMW (September 2003) and some service history. For the BMW collector, this must be a wonderful opportunity to purchase a 3 Series with ***some (not continuous)*** history and the added appeal of being believed to be the oldest known surviving right hand drive example. V5C, MOT to August 2016 See illustration Please note that there is a £60+VAT minimum premium on this lot

(4 volumi) € 6000

The present magnificent Art Deco instrument is one of the total of 261 that the company built at its workshops in Chiswick and subsequently at a purpose-built factory at North Acton, London. They were installed in cinemas and theatres throughout the British Isles. In the 1930s the cost was approximately £3,000, representing a major investment but one which was regarded as essential in the era of the silent films where it replaced an orchestra in the pit. It also continued to play an important role with the advent of the talkies where the organist entertained the audience between features. ++This organ was acquired by the father of the present vendor and has been stored for 40 years in a dry barn. Whilst we make no warranty as to its completeness there are several thousand components and although dusty these appear to be in reasonably good condition. Many of the smaller pieces have been left undisturbed, stacked in six wooden crates and still wrapped in newspaper printed in 1972. Some of the decorative glass is missing or damaged and the gold painted console has been affected by woodworm whilst in storage. The purchaser will be required to remove the lot within 14 days of the Sale.
