A 1997 Honda RVF 750 RC45, registration number R10 RVF, frame number RC45-2100095, engine number RC45E 410026, red/white/blue. Hand built on a special assembly line at the Honda Racing Corporation, the exotic RC45 was an homologation limited edition special built to allow Honda to win the World Superbike Championship. A development of the previous RC30, the new 45 was developed in all areas with scarcely a component carried over from the previous model. The RC45 was and still is a very exclusive model and cost a not inconsiderable 50% more than the contemporary Ducati 916. This two owner example has been with the current second owner since 1999. A very original example, which has covered approximately 11,000 km from new with approximately 5,000 of these being added by our vendor. The RC45 has been on SORN since it's last MOT expired in October 2017 but will be newly MOTd and serviced before the auction. The Honda is fitted with an after market immobiliser with Micron racing can (road legal) otherwise the RC45 is in standard specification. The history file contains the owner's manual, stamped service book, receipts and previous MOTs and the RC45 will be accompanied to auction with a spare key and paddock stand. The Honda started readily when viewed to take the catalogue photographs and appears in very good condition in all respects commensurate with its low mileage. Now only available for sale for the third time in 21 years this homologation special would grace any collection. V5C, MOT to August 2019 See illustrations
