A 1975 Ford Cortina Mk III 2 litre XL automatic, registration number KCB 880P, green. Once a very familiar site on British roads the Mk III Cortina has now become extremely rare with only a handful of examples still being driven. This 2 litre example is a super rare automatic finished in a very distinctive metallic green with a brown vinyl roof and cloth interior. Our vendor believes that the Cortina was in store between 1982 and 2016 with ***three (not two)*** previous owners before himself. The previous owner carried out some exterior paint work and fitted later twin headlamps and a grille (original supplied with the car). In our vendor's ownership he has concentrated on the mechanical side of things spending approximately £1,000 with J Day Engineering including fitting electronic ignition, new cambelt and water pump, fitting manual choke and new kickdown cable. He further advises that the driver's door hinge requires repair or replacement (hinge supplied), this now rare Cortina will be offered for auction with a history file including ****a bill of sale from 1978 (not the original bill of sale)***, recent receipts, photographs and a 1982 tax disc. V5, V5C, MOT to February 2019 See illustration
