A small collection of personal effects related to a Harry Barker - Seaman during WWII / Second World War. Comprising of a Blue Ensign flag (provenance unknown), his Manual Of Seamanship 1937 and a photograph of Barker in uniform. Flag measures approx; 42cm x 86cm. From the vendor: This is my father's collection - As a gunner protecting convoy merchant shipping, when they reached port the gunners returned to base where they awaited their next orders. When ready to board, they collected their kit bags. He found the flag in his allocated kit bag. It definitely dates from the end of WW2ADDITION TO LOT: 14/08/2019 - the vendor has also supplied several photographs of his father during service, along with his ' Shore Leave Pass '. All are now included with the lot.
