An Addison - Luard Course & Wind Calculator,English, c.1920, engraved 'H. HUGHES & SON Ltd LONDON No.228' and above 'THE ADDISON-LAUD COURSE & WIND CALCULATOR, 7 - INCH AIR TYPE B, PAT. No, 253758 BRIT. PAT. 299138, U.S.A. PAT. 1723757' constructed of aluminium with 2 rotating arms, steel linkage, and engraved for WIND, WIND SPEED, AIR SPEED & COURSE, in original fitted pine case with original instructions and advertisement case 20cm wideThe Addison-Luard Course & Wind Calculator 7-Inch Air Type "B" – A Revolutionary Navigational AidAmong the many ingenious devices developed for navigational calculations in the early 20th century, the Addison-Luard Course & Wind Calculator 7-Inch Air Type "B" stands as a testament to British ingenuity. Patented in the 1920s and produced by the instrument makers H. Hughes & Son Ltd., London, this device provided a rapid and reliable method for determining the impact of wind on an aircraft’s trajectory. Housed in a pine box with a hinged lid and a clasp, the instrument comprises an aluminium disc with degree increments and compass directions, complemented by a mechanical assembly of rulers and a steel concertina linkage.During the interwar period, advances in aviation and maritime navigation necessitated the development of precise, efficient methods for calculating course adjustments due to external winds. The Addison-Luard Calculator was designed to perform these calculations mechanically, eliminating the need for laborious plotting on paper. This was particularly useful in aviation, where rapid and accurate computations were essential for maintaining course and ensuring safety. The device was engineered to solve velocity triangles—graphical representations of the relationships between an object’s motion, the influence of wind, and the resulting drift. By setting the known variables—such as an aircraft’s intended course and speed, and the wind’s speed and direction—the calculator mechanically determined the resultant ground speed and true heading, streamlining complex navigational equations. The Addison-Luard Calculator operates through a mechanical linkage system, integrating three key components:Primary Arm (Course and Speed): The user sets the intended direction of travel and the velocity of the aircraft or vessel using the first arm.Secondary Arm (Wind or Current Data): The second arm is adjusted to reflect the direction and speed of the wind.Resultant Arm (True Heading and Ground Speed): Through the linkage system, the third arm automatically adjusts to display the resultant trajectory and speed, allowing the operator to correct the course accordingly.Unlike traditional manual plotting methods, this mechanical system ensured rapid computation, reducing the risk of human error and improving navigational efficiency. The Addison-Luard Course & Wind Calculator found widespread use among aviators, submariners, and surface vessel navigators, particularly before the widespread adoption of electronic navigation aids. In aviation, pilots relied on it to compensate for crosswinds during flight planning and in real-time adjustments, ensuring accurate arrival at their destinations.

John Bell, The Principles of Surgery, 1801,John Bell, Surgeon, The Principles of Surgery in Two Volumes: Volume First - Of the Ordinary Duties of the Surgeon; Volume Second - A System of Surgical Operations, 1801, hand coloured plates, velum binding with manuscript title to spine J Bell Surgery, some pages loose, 674pages, light spotting and browning, Large Quarto 31cm x 25cmJohn Bell (1763-1820) was a pioneering Scottish surgeon and anatomist, recognized for his groundbreaking contributions to the field of surgery. Bell was born in Edinburgh and trained in the medical sciences during an era when surgery was emerging as a distinct scientific discipline. He was an outspoken advocate for the advancement of surgical techniques, emphasizing precision, anatomical knowledge, and the importance of reducing patient suffering. His vivid and detailed writings revolutionized surgical education, offering an anatomically accurate and practical approach to surgical practice. Bell’s illustrations, many of which he created himself, brought his works to life, providing unprecedented clarity for medical students and practitioners. His critical stance on the inadequacies of contemporary surgery often drew controversy, but his legacy as a reformer and educator is undisputed. Bell’s works continue to be referenced for their historical importance and their role in transforming surgical practices.Book Description: Published in 1801, The Principles of Surgery is a seminal two-volume work that delineates the state of surgical science at the dawn of the 19th century. Volume First focuses on the ordinary duties of the surgeon, addressing critical aspects of wound care, ulcers, fistulas, aneurysms, fractures, and military and hospital duties. Volume Second offers a comprehensive system of surgical operations, detailing procedures such as lithotomy, trepanning, hernia repairs, hydrocele treatment, amputations, and more. This large quarto edition, printed in Edinburgh, features an engraved frontispiece and is bound in modern half leather with marbled boards. Bell’s precise descriptions and clear emphasis on anatomical foundations make this work both a practical manual and a scholarly treatise. It also contains valuable insights into the duties of military surgeons, reflecting the challenges of surgical practice in a time of frequent warfare. A highly influential text in the history of surgery, it is essential for collectors of medical history and 19th-century scientific works.

‘They ate blubber, cooked with blubber, had blubber lamps. Their clothes and gear were soaked with blubber, and the soot blackened them, their sleeping-bags, cookers, walls and roof, choked their throats and inflamed their eyes. Blubbery clothes are cold, and theirs were soon so torn as to afford little protection against the wind, and so stiff with blubber that they would stand up by themselves, in spite of frequent scrapings with knives and rubbings with penguin skins, and always there were underfoot the great granite boulders which made walking difficult even in daylight and calm weather. As Levick said, “the road to hell might be paved with good intentions, but it seemed probable that hell itself would be paved something after the style of Inexpressible Island.” ’ The grim realities of life as a stranded member of the Scott’s Northern Party, as summarised by Apsley Cherry-Garrard in The Worst Journey in the World. The important Polar Medal group of four awarded to Fleet Surgeon G. M. Levick, Royal Navy, who served in the Northern Party in Scott’s Antarctic Expedition 1910-13 and also acted as a zoologist and photographer The story of the Northern Party’s fight for survival is one much imbued with the spirit of the ‘Golden Age of Polar Exploration’, and a story of survival that rightly won wide admiration; of Levick’s zoological contribution to the expedition, he undertook a pioneering study of Adélie penguins, his findings finally appearing in Antarctic Penguins in 1914 Specially advanced to Fleet Surgeon for his services in Antarctica, he went on to witness active service in H.M.S. Bacchante off Gallipoli and latterly trained Commandos in the art of survival in extreme conditions in the wilds of Scotland 1914-15 Star (Ft. Surg. G. M. Levick. R.N.); British War and Victory Medals (Ft. Surg. G. M. Levick. R.N.); Polar Medal 1904, G.V.R., 1st issue, silver, 1 clasp, Antarctic 1910-13 (Surgeon G. M. Levick. R.N. Terra Nova.) mounted as worn, good very fine (4) £20,000-£24,000 --- Importation Duty This lot is subject to importation duty of 5% on the hammer price unless exported outside the UK --- --- A total of 59 silver medals or clasps were awarded for Scott’s Last Expedition, of which 33 were to the Shore Party and only 11 to Naval or Military officers. Levick was one of two Surgeons present on the expedition. George Murray Levick was born in Newcastle on 3 July 1876, the son of a civil engineer, George Levick, and his wife Jeannie; his elder sister was the sculptor Ruby Levick, who exhibited at the Royal Academy. Levick studied medicine at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and was commissioned as a Surgeon in the Royal Navy in November 1902. And it was in that capacity, and as a zoologist, that he applied for and was granted leave of absence to accompany Scott’s Antarctic Expedition of 1910-13. As a member of Scott’s shore party, Levick joined the Northern Party under the command of Lieutenant V. L. A. Campbell, together with Priestly the geologist and three seamen - Abbott, Browning and Dickason. What ensued became one of the great epics of exploration in Antarctica. Having spent the first 10 months of their northern sojourn at Cape Adare, where several journeys of exploration were carried out and extensive scientific observations taken, the Northern Party were embarked in the Terra Nova in January 1912 and proceeded to Evans Cove in Terra Nova Bay, where it was intended they carry out a six week expedition. As a result of adverse ice conditions, however, the Terra Nova was unable to come and pick them up, and Levick and his comrades were left stranded, with few provisions, and the daunting prospect of the imminent arrival of the Polar winter: what followed over the next nine months was a story of endurance and courage rarely matched in the annals of exploration. Wearing light summer clothing, and equipped with light tents, it was quickly apparent that if they were to survive more substantial shelter was required. To that end, the six-man team constructed a giant snow cave or igloo, from which they rarely ventured other than to hunt for seal and penguin. Such was Levick’s devotion to his fellow explorers during this perilous time, that he was affectionately nicknamed ‘Mother’. In early August the sun returned and Levick and his comrades prepared the sledges for the return to Cape Evans. Setting off on 30 September 1912, they reached Cape Roberts four weeks later, having in the interim come upon the welcome contents of an old depot left by Shackleton’s 1907-09 expedition. In fact they discovered yet further supplies at Cape Bernacci and at Butter Point, discoveries that enabled their safe return to ‘Hut Point’ on 6 November, but, here, of course, they learnt of the tragic fate of Scott and his party. A full account of the Northern Party can be found in Antarctic Adventure, Scott’s Northern Party by R. E. Priestly, while the diary kept by Commander V. L. A. Campbell is to be found in Scott’s Last Expedition, Volume II. Levick is mentioned throughout in both accounts and appears in several photographs. His study of penguins was published by Heinemann as Antarctic Penguins in 1914 and some 30 of his photographs were reproduced in Scott’s Last Expedition, Volume II. On his return to naval duties, Levick was specially promoted to Fleet Surgeon and served off Gallipoli in H.M.S. Bacchante and in the Grand Fleet. And following his retirement, he pioneered the training of blind people in physiotherapy and established the Public Schools Exploring Society in 1932, which took groups of schoolboys to Scandinavia and Canada, and he remained its president until his death. Shortly after the renewal of hostilities in September 1939, Levick, who was then 64, took up the role of a specialist in guerilla warfare at the Commando Special Training Centre at Lochailort, Scotland. He taught fitness, diet and survival techniques, many of which were published in the training manual Hardening of Commando Troops for Warfare in 1944. Moreover, he was enlisted as a consultant for Operation ‘Trace’, a plan for hiding a small observation party in a secret chamber, dubbed ‘The Stay Behind Cave’, in the event of Gibraltar falling to the Axis. On his death in May 1956, Levick was the subject of numerous obituaries, Major D. Glyn Owen of the British Exploring Society writing: ‘A truly great Englishman has passed from our midst, but the memory of his nobleness of character and our pride in his achievements cannot pass from us. Having been on Scott’s last Antarctic expedition, Murray Levick was later to resolve that exploring facilities for youth should be created under as rigourous conditions as could be made available. With his usual untiring energy and purposefulness, he turned this concept into reality when he founded the Public Schools Exploring Society in 1932, later to become the British Schools Exploring Society, drawing schoolboys of between 16 and 18 years to partake in annual expeditions abroad into wild and trackless country … ‘ Sold with a large quantity of photographs (approx. 140 images), mainly of penguins and taken by Levick on the Expedition, some of them mounted in a pair of old albums, together with two images of him in Antarctica and a studio portrait of him in uniform, wearing his Polar Medal. Note: Levick’s original polar journal was sold at Christie’s in April 2000 for £93,950.

Registration – JXZ 8834Chassis No. – ZAMHH45C000045093M.O.T. – September 2025Odometer – 42,440When the Maserati GranTurismo S launched in 2008, it immediately became the version to have thanks to its 4.7-litre V8 engine shared with the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. ‘JXZ 8834’ is the vaunted S version from its first year of production. With a mere 42,450 miles recorded to date and just four previous keepers, ‘JXZ 8834’ offers a very sound provenance. This GranTurismo has been very lightly used in recent years with only around 2,000 miles being covered since 2018. Despite this light use, ‘JXZ 8834’ has been diligently maintained with a full service in 2018 together with the replacement of the engine variators, new front springs and other work. Additionally, ‘JXZ 8834’ had its gearbox oil replaced in 2023, together with wheel bearings and both rear springs. ‘JXZ 8834’ is offered with no reserve and complete with an extensive paperwork file and an advisory free MOT until September 2025.The M145 Maserati GranTurismo was very well received at launch in 2007, despite holding the title for the fastest developed new car model in history. With a conception to production period of just nine months it was only a slight lack of power that detracted from the original models. This was rectified with the arrival of the GranTurismo S in 2008. With a larger and more impressive 4.7-litre V8, the S offered 434 bhp at 7,000 rpm and a 180mph plus top speed. 0-60 mph could be dispatched in less than five seconds. Power is delivered via a 6-speed automated manual made by Graziano Trasmissioni, a system shared with the Ferrari F430.Being the optimal S version, ‘JXZ 8834’ is thus equipped. Presenting in gleaming Nero Carboni paintwork the GranTurismo features a sophisticated GT design by none other than Pininfarina. A staggered set of R20 20-inch alloy wheels are fitted and finished in a Grigio Mercury hue. This combination lends ‘JXZ 8834’ a stealthy appearance with just the right level of brooding menace exhibited. The beautifully appointed and fitted cabin presents in a combination of Rosso Corallo hued leather with grey, perforated Alcantara accents and black carpets. It’s a thrilling combination. ‘JXZ 8834’s’ cabin also benefits from a professionally fitted, state of the art Apple CarPlay head unit which cost over £2,000 and is still under warranty. If complete originality is your thing, the original parts are also included. Two original keys and an unfitted carbon fibre rear spoiler are also included. In summary:· Fine provenance and a low mileage covered to date· Complete with a recently fitted, state of the art head unit for Apple CarPlay· Offered with an advisory free MOT and stacks of additional paperwork
Registration – 151D 54244Chassis No. – SALLDHSP7FA465855M.O.T. – TBCOdometer – 69,000 It’s often the case that movie villains have the coolest cars. That was certainly the case in 2015 Bond film “Spectre.” When chasing Bond off the mountain the Spectre heavies used some very tough looking, very highly specified Land Rover Defender 110’s to stalk their prey. This led to a high demand for evocations of the Spectre Land Rovers and also roughly coincided with the retirement of the original Defender, only adding to the furore. ‘151D 54244’ is not only one such thrilling evocation but was also previously owned by Irish MMA icon, Connor McGregor. Given this astounding provenance it will be no surprise that ‘151D 54244’ is a very highly specified Land Rover indeed, but more of that shortly. The Land Rover is a UK supplied and specified crew cab, pick up version of the Defender 110 that was bought new in the UK by McGregor. ‘151D 54244’ was then exported to Ireland and remained in McGregor’s ownership for 3 years. The vendor has not re-registered it in the UK for fear of losing the V5 with McGregor’s name on it. This custom, one-of-one Land Rover is now a two owner vehicle having covered around 69,000 miles and having never been used off road. It has been regularly maintained with its last service at the end of 2024, less than 400 miles ago. ‘151D 54244’ is offered with two keys, the original book pack and a provenance that’s hard to better. Not one for the shy and retiring, ‘151D 54244’ is an absolute feast for the eyes and demands attention like few other Land Rovers….or vehicles of any type. There is so much thrilling detail here that it is hard to know where to start. ‘151D 54244’ presents in “Bond Villian” Black and features a full external, tubular roll cage. A set of 8J x 16-inch Storm alloy wheels are fitted and also finished in black. These are shod with a set of Cooper Discovery tyres in a 315/75 configuration. An identical spare wheel and tyre is mounted in the rear bed. Extra wide Spectre wheel arch extensions are fitted together with a front mounted Bearmach Power Winch housed withing a winch bumper. A KBX front light arrangement is present as is a snorkel, a Puma bonnet and new protective chequer plate to the wing tops. Even the unique Spectre rope arrangement from the film is noted. A movie faithful roof tray is fitted as are four, cage mounted, 7-inch LED spot lamps which are wired in to factory switches. Full length side steps are fitted as is a NAS rear step with integrated tow pack. The interior specification is no less spectacular, either. A full Recaro style interior is fitted and trimmed in leather……black, of course. A Momo steering wheel is fitted, together with a central cubby box, black headlining, front electric windows, central locking, immobiliser, Pioneer double-DIN Bluetooth head unit and alarm. An invertor and three, three pin power outlets are even fitted in the rear bed.A full SuperGaz suspension is fitted, incorporating a 2-inch lift, a steering damper and a full poly-bush set. The running gear is standard 2015 Defender fare in the shape of the 2,198cc ZSD-422 Duratorq turbodiesel engine and six-speed manual transmission. The usual Defender off-road focussed full time four wheel drive and high / low transfer gearbox are all present, of course. In news that will shock no one – every aspect of ‘151D 54244’ is rated as “excellent.”

The owner’s Italian heritage made the restoration of ‘ANK456G’ a true passion project. Originality has been the watchword of this project with only electronic ignition being a nod to modernity. A new battery has been fitted and ‘ANK456G’ comes with plenty of paperwork from both its Italian and British lives. Since restoration the owner has only covered a few thousand miles with ‘ANK456G’ being dry stored when not in use. For those looking for a highly original 500L with genuine Italian provenance then ‘ANK456G’ is the one for you.The Fiat 500L, or Lusso, was released in 1968 as a more generously equipped version of this archetypal city car. ‘ANK456G’ exhibits the key external L differentiators of the chromed, tubular bumper guards. A charming, full length vinyl sunroof is also noted giving the 500L full summer motoring appeal. Given the 500L’s tiny footprint, much smaller than its contemporary cousin, the cabin is surprisingly commodious. ‘ANK456G’s’ cabin is finished in black, and although it may look spartan it is actually more generously trimmed and finished in this L specification. Bodywork and paintwork win an “excellent” rating, and the interior is judged as “good.”In terms of mechanical configuration, the 500L features the well proven twin cylinder 499cc 110F rear mounted engine. The power output is incredibly modest by today’s standards but the 500L never feels anything other than sprightly and nippy. That’s most likely due to the car’s 500 kg or so dry weight. A four speed manual gearbox transfers power to the rear wheels and tiny 12 inch wheels and drum brakes complete the package. This specification is emblematic of the 500’s ethos – minimalistic but more than adequate. All ‘ANK456G’s’ mechanical systems are rated as “good.”In summary:· Imported and restored as a passion project by the current owner· Offering a high level of 1969 authenticity and originality· A fine looking example awash with character and charm

The first versions are known as A1; in 1982, the A2 was introduced (there was now no Vauxhall Royale version), featuring a very successful facelift that made the Monza look much more modern. It was more aerodynamic too, providing a great platform for the ultimate Open Monza, the 1983 GSE. This was originally rated at around 115PS and in ‘P621AYJ’ this is mated to a five speed manual gearbox. Toyotas of this period are noted for their over-engineered nature and longevity which bodes very well for this 80,000 mile example. In summary:· Coming from two years of barn storage· A rare example of the 25th Anniversary Edition with just 250 ever produced in silver· Presenting in a highly original condition with key special edition features
Registration – V16 RORChassis No. – WP0ZZZ99Z6S738061M.O.T. – February 2026Odometer – 29,100The Porsche 911 997 represents the sixth iteration of this legendary German sports car easily recognised by the previous “fried egg” headlamps now replaced with the more classic looking “bug eye” units. ‘V16 ROR’ is a fine example of the 997 from its second year of production. What really sets ‘V16 ROR’ apart, however, is its miniscule 29,100 miles covered to date. That equates to a mere 1,500 miles or so per year. To further monopolise on that remarkable provenance, ‘V16 ROR’ comes complete with a full service history from a mix of dealers and independent specialists. ‘V16 ROR’ has been borescope checked for bore score and has been deemed clear with documentary proof available. ‘V16 ROR’ is a desirable six speed manual version, complete with a valid MOT until January 2026 and ready and raring to go immediately.Being the desirable S version, ‘V16 ROR’ features the bigger 3824cc six cylinder boxer engine originally rated at an impressive 355bhp at 6,600 rpm offering a 29bhp uplift over the standard Carrera. 295 Ib-ft of torque was available 4,600 rpm making this a very tractable unit, too. Other S upgrades include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and an uprated braking system. ‘V16 ROR’ features the preferred six speed manual gearbox. This configuration was originally good for a sub five second 0-60mph sprint and an 186mph top speed. The vendor rates the engine, transmission and electrics as “excellent.”‘V16 ROR’ presents in gleaming Basalt Black and features those big, elliptical “classic” headlamps and a set of 19-inch “Lobster Claw” alloy wheels also finished in gloss black. These are shod with a set of quality Pirelli P-Zero tyres. This black on black livery lends ‘V16 ROR’ a stealthy and imposing road presence. The sports orientated cabin is another black on black environment with the seats upholstered in supple perforated leather in black. The front seats feature embossed Porsche shield emblems to the integral headrests. It’s well specified in here, too, with a Porsche Apple CarPlay head unit and Bose sound system. Paintwork, bodywork and interior are all rated as “good.”In summary:· A superb example of the 997.1 in higher power S specification· Having covered a mere 29,000 miles or so and complete with a thorough service history· Checked for bore score and deemed clear with documentary support
Registration – SDX 894Chassis No. – Z87C/146013YM.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 126,000Beautifully presented, this example of Ford’s first-generation Consul Cortina is a five-door estate version, and presented in tasteful grey bodywork with white side-stripe following the shoulder line. Powered by Ford’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder Kent engine, here it drives the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. With its wide grille, ‘Consul’ branding towards the leading edge of the bonnet, and wing-mirrors placed forward of the windscreen, ‘SDX 894’ retains many of its original features. Inside, the cabin is trimmed in blue, with upholstery, door cards, dash top, and steering wheel sharing the same shade. In Deluxe 1500 trim, the door tops and dashboard are body-coloured, while the front seats are a single bench, with a column-mounted shifter allowing for an additional passenger in the front.‘SDX 894’ is offered with a very good history of ownership and has been cherished by fans of the MkI Cortina. Described as ‘running well’, ‘SDX 894’ benefits from a new servo, disc brakes upgrade with copper brake pipes, a stainless steel exhaust, electronic ignition, and wax-oiled doors. Displaying an indicated 126,700 miles, this example of the Consul Cortina MkI has been carefully looked after, despite having gone once around the clock, and been recorded as a Category C write-off.· Fine example of Ford’s first-generation Consul Cortina· Long history of ownership· Practical classic with front bench seat and estate rearFord introduced the Consul Cortina MkI in 1962, replacing the Consul, with a design from Roy Abbott Brown Jr – recently dispatched to Ford of Britain after his Edsel was not well received Stateside. His career in the UK certainly didn’t suffer the same fate. Available as a two- or four-door saloon, or five-door estate, the Consul Cortina was designed to be a best-seller from the off, and came with a choice of engines and transmissions. The Consul name, retained from the previous model and combined with the 1956 Winter Olympics-inspired ‘Cortina’ badge, was dropped in 1964, as Ford saw a comprehensive marketing campaign, including race and rally-success, keep the MkI in production until 1966.

It was last MOT’d in 2023, however, at 136,208 miles. Whilst no paperwork or V5 Registration Document is present with ‘M218 TRM,’ it is reported that it has been previously restored to include a respray and engine rebuild. A photographic record of some of that work is included. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III made a raft of improvements over its predecessor including a new front end which looked better and improved cooling to the engine and brakes. A new, bigger rear spoiler further helped reduce lift, too. The engine boasted a higher compression ratio and bigger turbo to bring the original power output up to an impressive 270bhp.‘M218 TRM’ looks purposeful in its black livery and exhibits all of those aforementioned Evo III enhancements. The big, mesh filled front end, and the dramatic rear spoiler are immediately obvious. A set of gold finished multi-spoke alloys really set off the sports orientated JDM look perfectly. Registration – ADL 37KChassis No. – THPNMB02295M.O.T. – January 2026Odometer – 52,800 The stunning ‘ADL 37K’ dates from 1972, right in the middle of the three year Ford ownership of the Italian sports car manufacturer De Tomaso. As such ‘ADL 37K’ is fitted with the 351 cu in Ford Cleveland V8 engine mated to the five speed ZF manual transmission. The low down torque of the Ford V8 notably lends the Pantera a level of drivability and usability not always present in its Italian engined peers. ‘ADL 37K’ has benefitted from excellent preventive maintenance and enjoyed numerous mechanical upgrades in its current, 12 year ownership. ‘ADL 37K’s’ odometer records 52,800 miles which is thought by the vendor to be original. This sublime blend of Italian supercar style and muscular Ford V8 power is offered with a number of workshop manuals. The fabled De Tomaso Pantera was always a low volume car despite Ford’s three year ownership of the company. At its peak production averaged three cars per day with around 7,000 cars ultimately being built and sold. The Italian – American collaboration extended to the design of the Pantera, too. Italian firm Carrozzeria Ghia handled the design with their American-born designer, Tom Tjaarda, creating the concept. This innate scarcity combined with the striking design will virtually guarantee that ‘ADL 37K’ is a head turner without parallel. The vibrant yellow livery only adds to the drama with the black Pantera decals informing the uninitiated exactly what they are gawping at. The enthusiast owner rates the bodywork as “excellent” and the paintwork as “good.” Inside ‘ADL 37K’ features the original seats and all dials and gauges are reported as working. No electrical faults are reported, and the interior condition garners a “good” rating.Since in its current ownership ‘ADL 37K’ has been fastidiously cared for. Both engine and gearbox have been re-gasketed and a softer cam has been fitted with all the associated work undertaken. A new McLeod clutch system was fitted in 2013. An uprated Wilwood braking system has also been fitted to include master cylinder and servo. At the same time areas of the engine bay and wheel arches were stripped and undersealed with quality German products. With good oil pressure reported the engine receives an “excellent” rating as do the transmission and electrics. Here is a vanishingly rare opportunity to acquire an excellent example of the ultimate in automotive Italian American collaboration. In summary:A striking, rare and highly desirable Italian American supercarIntelligently and expertly uprated and improved whilst respecting originalitySupplied with a number of new, valuable suspension components
Registration – SC10 UBYChassis No. – ZFA31200000534960M.O.T. – January 2026Odometer – 65,000We are pleased to offer this charming example of everyone’s favourite diminutive hot hatch. ‘SC10UBY’ is a 2010 version of the 133 bhp Fiat Abarth 500 in optimal five speed manual form. Offered with an unusually sound provenance, ‘SC10UBY’ has covered a significantly below average mileage of 65,000 miles in the hands of just five registered keepers to date. The vendor acquired ‘SC10UBY’ in February 2021at around 36,500 miles. Today ‘SC10UBY’ is offered in a fine overall condition, complete with a long MOT until January 2026 and accompanying paperwork to support routine maintenance. All in all, a great example of this perennially popular pocket rocket.‘SC10UBY’ looks superb in its combination of Pearl White paintwork, graduated black Abarth decals on both flanks, chin and boot spoilers and chunky twin, chromed tail pipes. In addition to the decals there are colourful Abarth scorpion motifs to the front, rear and both sides. The 17-inch Abarth alloy wheels help to accentuate ‘SC10UBY’s’ “wheel at each corner” sporting stance. These are centred with more Abarth scorpions and are shod in a matching set of quality Toyo Proxes in a 205/40 configuration. The vendor rates both paint and bodywork as “good.” The cabin continues to showcase ‘SC10UBY’s’ sporting status. The high backed sports seats are deeply bolstered and finished in black fabric with vivid red accents. Other tell tales of this 500’s Abarth origins are the dash mounted boost gauge with integrated gear change indicator, chunky sports leather steering wheel and aluminium clad pedals. The vendor judges the interior condition as “excellent.”‘SC10UBY’ boasts a technical specification to match all the sporting accoutrements, too. Power is provided by a four cylinder, turbocharged and intercooled version of the 1.4-litre Fiat FIRE engine. In original specification this was rated at 133 bhp and offered 152 Ib-ft of torque in “Sport” mode. This is mated to a five speed C510 manual gearbox, lowered sports suspension and accurate electric powered steering. It appears that an uprated Ulter sports silencer and tail pipes has been fitted at some point, too. The engine, transmission and electrics are all vendor rated as “excellent.”In summary:· Very solid provenance with below average mileage and owners· Offering numerous Abarth features and a mechanical specification to match· Complete with a long MOT and accompanying paperwork
Registration – G444 WLMChassis No. – SAXXL2S1020421912M.O.T. – March 2026Odometer – 68,000‘G444 WLM’ started life as a limited edition Mini Rose, of which just 400 were thought to have been made. From new, however, ‘G444 WLM’ was professionally converted to a cabriolet specification with a roll over bar fitted along with additional strengthening and a hood. This, of course, makes it a very rare Mini indeed. ‘G444 WLM’s’ current owner is the sixth to date having acquired the Mini in January 2017 with a modest 68,000 miles covered so far. ‘G444 WLM’ has benefitted from plenty of work over the years, including a restoration about 5 years ago. This included a respray, as well as attention to the engine and brakes. ‘G444 WLM’ is currently SORN but does have a 12 months mot. Offered here with no reserve. This rare Mini looks distinctive with its Surrey Top style hood and bright white livery. The legendary, small but commodious Mini cabin is finished with the grey fabric standard on the Mini Rose. A three spoke Mini steering wheel is fitted and the dashboard is fitted with a white finished facia panel with built in glove box. The carpets are finished in black, and the standard Mini instrument binnacle is present. The vendor rated the bodywork and paintwork as “average” and the interior as “good.”In mechanical terms ‘G444 WLM’ is standard Mini fare. This means the erstwhile 998cc A-Plus engine is transversely placed in the engine bay. In this iteration it was fed by a single carburettor and originally produced around 42bhp. Power is fed to the front wheels via a four speed manual transmission. ‘G444 WLM’ combines a sensible original mileage with a recent mechanical overhaul to present in a reportedly decent mechanical condition. The engine and transmission is rated as “good” and the electrics as “average.” The original Mini Sky and Rose models were produced in a total edition of 1,000 cars. Roughly 400 of these were the Rose (pink roof) and 600 the Sky (blue roof). In summary:A very rare Mini professionally converted from new to a cabrioletBenefitting from a restoration around 5 years agoOffered with a sensible mileage and ownership history
Registration – RF04 WCTChassis No. – WBSBL92090JR08922M.O.T. – November 2025Odometer – 140,200‘RF04WCT’ is an example of the third generation of BMW M3 in E46 guise. As if that’s not already tempting enough, this is a widely preferred manual version featuring the six-speed Getrag 420G transmission and is a non-sunroof model to boot. In other words, a real purists’ delight. Clearly the eight keepers to date have appreciated what they had as ‘RF04WCT’ is complete with a fully stamped service book documenting the last service in November 2024. As well as routine maintenance, ‘RF04WCT’ has seemingly wanted for nothing in terms of non-routine works, including a VANOS service, air conditioning re-gas and a re-trimmed steering wheel. This fine E46 M3 in this optimum specification comes with a current MOT valid until November 2025.‘RF04WCT’ further adds to its innate desirability by presenting in the perennially popular BMW Silbergrau, or Silver Grey livery. The exterior of ‘RF04WCT’ remains entirely faithful to the original “less is more” Ulf Weidhase design and is all the better for it. This M3 sits purposefully on its original 67M double spoked alloy wheels with diamond cut faces. These are complete with subtle M-sport badges. The vendor reports that ‘RF04WCT’s’ underside and wheel arches are very solid and free from corrosion. The M3’s cabin is finished in black leather and, again, exhibits a highly desirable level of sought-after originality. Only the Bluetooth head unit and the retrimmed steering wheel are known to be non-original. ‘RF04WCT’s’ paintwork, bodywork and interior are all rated “good” by the vendor.Any M-car’s headline act is always going to dwell under the bonnet, of course, and ‘RF04WCT’ is no exception. The E46 M3 was fitted with the S54 unit which was the ultimate evolution of the hugely admired S50, naturally aspirated straight six engine. Being an M-engine, it features separate throttle bodies for each cylinder and, new for the E46 M3, “drive-by-wire” throttle control. The results speak for themselves. Originally rated at 338 bhp at a dizzyingly high 7,900rpm. This translated into a five second 0-60mph time and a 155mph electronically limited top speed. Hugely impressive in 2004 and still very competitive today. In summary:· A highly sought-after six speed manual, non-sunroof configuration· Offered complete with a fully stamped service book and much supporting paperwork· Maintaining a high degree of originality and a popular colourway
Registration – TSY 101Chassis No. – 206E/274704M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 72,232In 1961 ‘TSY 101’ would have represented the pinnacle of Ford UK’s so called “Three Graces” range – the Consul, the Zephyr and the Zodiac. Looking every bit the part, with its transatlantic style two tone paintwork and ample chrome, ‘TSY 101’ is the rarer Lowline model with a sleeker, 44mm lower roofline. Thought to have been diligently restored in around 2011 and with another paint refresh in 2020, ‘TSY 101’ presents today with a sensible 72,226 miles recorded. The last MOT in July 2010 was performed at 70,525 miles, underscoring the Zodiac’s light, post-restoration use. Acquired at auction by the current owner in October 2021, it comes complete with a photographic record of its earlier restoration, some previous MOT copies, a few invoices and the original jack and toolkit. The appealing ‘TSY101’ registration plate remains with the Zodiac as it is non-transferable.With the arrival of the MII Zodiac in 1956, Ford moved away from the slightly dowdy MKI’s styling and injected some much admired glamour into the mix. ‘TSY101’ showcases that charmingly from the Zodiac-specific, elaborate front grill right back to the vestigial US-style fins at the rear. The matinee idol looks were matched with an impressive technical specification, too. A 2,553cc inline six cylinder engine is fitted and mated to a three speed manual gearbox once giving this range topper a 90mph troubling top speed. Impressive for 1961. The spacious cabin also offers an overtly transatlantic ambiance. The white and black colourway mirrors ‘TSY101’s’ exterior livery and there is plenty of chrome and polished metal in evidence. The squatter instrument binnacle of the sought after Lowline is noted and the column mounted gearchange and full width front bench seat is very evocative of the Zodiac’s American cousins of the day.In terms of condition, it all seems very impressive considering this is now a 63 year old motorcar. The paint and bodywork has obviously received diligent attention in recent times with ‘TSY 101’ being returned to its factory gate two-tone specification from solid black. The ample brightwork looks……bright and the upholstery fresh and clean in spite of its white finish. With less than 100 Zephyrs and Zodiacs of all iterations known to remain on UK roads, the time is surely right to add one to your collection. In summary:A rarer Lowline model of the range topping ZodiacBenefitting from a full restoration in 2011 and a further refresh in 2020Offering a sensible, seeming original mileage for its age
Registration – P190 ADDChassis No. – WBACA720X0AF26114M.O.T. – March 2026Odometer – 86,000‘P190 ADD’ is an E36, third generation four door, 3 Series saloon in 316i, five speed manual configuration. With just seven keepers to date and an indicated 86,000 miles covered, ‘P190 ADD’ boasts an admirable provenance for its age. This is further enhanced by a great service history with ‘P190 ADD’s’ service book containing a full 15 stamps for oil services and full inspections. The signature, drop-down tool kit is admirably complete, a long MOT is present until March 2026 and there is lots of accompanying paperwork on hand. The vendor notes that ‘P190 ADD’ is “mechanically faultless, drives faultlessly and never misses a beat.” What’s more, ‘P190 ADD’ is offered here with no reserve and so represents an exciting and, possibly, great value lot.‘P190 ADD’ adds to its desirability with a popular, original livery of Polar White over black leather. ‘P190 ADD’ sports a body coloured aero kit including boot spoiler and side skirts. A set of 15-inch, multi-spoke BMW alloy wheels are fitted shod with a matching set of quality Bridgestone tyres. Inside this E36 is trimmed in black leather throughout. The condition of this looks pretty good with just some minor areas of wear in the usual places such as the driver’s bolster and internal door handles. The iconic, driver-centric dashboard is present, with crystal clear VDO gauges and original three spoke steering wheel. The headlining has been pinned up due to some glue deterioration and sagging. The originality on show in here is impressive and desirable. Bodywork, paintwork and interior are all rated as “average” by the vendor.‘P190 ADD’ is fitted with the 1596cc M43B16, four cylinder petrol engine. This is a fuel injected unit originally rated at 102bhp and 111 lb-ft of torque. In this case it is mated to the optimal five speed manual gearbox which transfers power to the rear wheels. As previously noted, ‘P190 ADD’ has enjoyed a diligent service history with the last one documented at 83,000 miles in October 2024.In summary:· A lovely example of the popular E36 3 Series in a popular colourway· Exhibiting a high level of originality both inside and out· Benefitting form an extensive service history and plenty of other paperwork
Registration – ULX 512Chassis No. – 277336M.O.T. – ExemptOdometer – 59,031Originating from 1957,’ULX512’ is from the last year of the so called “EIP” or “E-series” designation Velox models. This was a longer, wider variant introduced in 1951 which shared its body with the Vauxhall Wyvern. ’ULX512’ is a characterful example of Vauxhall’s luxury six-cylinder saloon designed to compete with the Ford Zephyr and the Austin Westminster. ’ULX512’ is offered from a period of stable, enthusiast ownership dating back to 2009. Today the E-series Velox is a rare car indeed with only around 20 thought to still exist in the UK. Last MOT’d in 2008 at 58,500 miles it seems clear that ’ULX512’ has had sparing recent use with just 500 miles or so added since then. Today ’ULX512’ offers MOT exempt and zero rated road tax status based on its Historic Vehicle classification and comes with a number of original workshop manuals.’ULX512’s’ looks reflect Vauxhall’s 1950’s penchant for offering cars with blatantly American inspired styling. This gives the Velox real road presence and charm by the bucket load, being so fundamentally different from the cookie cutter models of today. ’ULX512’ has benefitted from a more contemporary respray in Dove Grey as well as being fitted with a complement of “new old stock” chromed brightwork. This combination, together with the partial spats at the rear, the full width “grinning” grill and the ostentatious bonnet ornament make ’ULX512’ s surefire head turner. The vendor considers the paint and bodywork as “good.” The interior is equally as charming with twin full width bench seats providing the accommodation. These are finished in brown, box pleated vinyl with the whole interior also rated as “good.”Given ’ULX512’s’ luxury saloon status a 2,262cc inline six cylinder OHV engine features. Configured more for sedate and refined cruising than outright speed this unit was originally rated at around 65bhp. This originally gave the Velox a perfectly respectable, for the time, 80 mph top speed. A three speed manual gearbox is fitted. During the current ownership a new wiring harness has been fitted. All mechanical aspects of ’ULX512’ are vendor rated as “good.”In summary:· One of only around 20 Velox E-series cars thought to remain in the UK· Presenting well due to a contemporary respray and new old stock chrome· Complete with some useful, original workshop manuals
Registration - KUJ 95JChassis No. - 127/278M.O.T. - ExemptOdometer - 35,105Featuring a design that has aged very gracefully, this Jensen FF is presented in pale blue, and is a well known model in Jensen circles. Offered at no reserve, ‘KUJ 96J’ is fitted with the 6.3-litre Chrysler-sourced V8 that was used across the Interceptor range at the time. This FF is driven by a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, with power going to all four wheels, and ‘KUJ 95J’ is beautifully presented in period-correct colour scheme, with a black vinyl roof, and red leather interior. This features a classic three-spoke sports steering wheel, contrasting black dashboard and centre console, matching red door cards, and 2+2 interior.‘KUJ 95J’ is believed to have been first owned by automotive parts specialists GKN, as a test mule for them to analyse the model’s famous four-wheel drive system. Displaying only 35,105 miles on the odometer, this particular model’s recognised history suggests this is genuine, though of course this cannot be warranted. The current owner, just the fourth keeper in almost 54 years of the Jensen being on the road, has held the keys for more than 18 years, and suggests that this FF could benefit from some cosmetic improvements, but is otherwise generally well presented. The bodywork is described by them as ‘average’ though the paint and interior are reckoned ‘good’. After a period of storage within a private collection this Jensen FF arrived with us not running, Hampson's can now report after some fresh fuel its now running and the engine sounds seemlessly strong, we would of course recommend a degree of further inspection and a possible service.Offered at no reserveWell presented example of Jensen’s four-wheel drive GTRecognised model in Jensen circles with known historyJensen launched the Interceptor in 1966 as its touring model, hand-built at its West Bromwich factory, and resurrecting the Interceptor badge after an interval of almost a decade. Powered by a 6.3-litre Chrysler V8, with either a manual or automatic transmission, the Interceptor was designed by Carrozzeria Touring in Italy, with early models built by another Italian coach-builder - Vignale - before Jensen brought everything in house later on. The FF was the first non all-terrain production car to feature four-wheel drive, and the first to have an anti-lock braking system too. The badge’s ‘FF’ represented ‘Ferguson Formula’, named after Ferguson Research, which was the firm that developed the four-wheel drive system. Although visually similar to the Interceptor, the FF is actually longer, and mechanically quite different, to incorporate the all-wheel drive set-up. Jensen built a little over 300 FF models from 1966 until production ceased in 1971.

Powered by the 1.8i engine of the standard MkI Mazda MX-5, the Merlot edition also used the same five-speed manual gearbox - the pairing going on to put Mazda’s roadster into legend. Distinct features include 15-spoke alloys, the touched leather upholstery with burgundy-coloured piping, wood effect dashboard, wooden gear knob and handbrake, rear mud guards, CD stereo, immobiliser, and Merlot badging. Just 600 models were produced, and features include central locking, electric windows, stainless steel kick plates, original Clarion stereo, original cotton Mazda car cover, and wind deflector.‘P423 PUG’ is offered for sale with an extremely low indicated mileage at just 33,000 miles on the odometer. It’s presented as a highly original model, with one owner from new until December of 2023, having covered 32,000 miles to that point. That owner was a now retired engineer, who cherished ‘P423 PUG’, an attitude that the current owner has clearly continued. The alloys are described as unmarked by the vendor, as is the upholstery. It is described as never having been repainted or welded, and feature a fully documented service and MOT history, including cam belt change in 2020. Originally ordered from JCT Leeds, ‘P423 PUG’ comes with original owners brochure and book pack, and has been professionally detailed and ceramic coated. Named the Eunos Roadster in Japan and Miata in the US, the MX-5 - by whichever name it is known - has gone on to become one of the most influential cars in history, restarting the compact, open-top sportscar market almost singlehandedly. The first-generation model stuck with the simple front engine, rear wheel drive, two-seater convertible configuration, though a hard-top was offered as an optional extra. In the UK, it was powered by a 1.8-litre engine, but other parts of the world also had a 1.6-litre motor, or 2.0-litre engine. An automatic was offered in certain markets, but the MX-5 is a car that deserves to be driven and as such, it is the five-speed manuals that are most popular. The first-generation model was produced until 1997, when it was replaced by the Mark II (NB) model.
