Introduced early in 1971, this impressive two-seater sports car replaced the 280 SL. The body and chassis of the third generation SL was considerably heavier and longer than its predecessor, but still showed a slight resemblance to them. The front and rear axles were similar to those of the 200-250 models, with independent wheel suspension using double wishbones and anti-drive control at the front and a diagonal swing axle at the rear. A four-speed automatic transmission was available as an option. The 3.5 litre V8 engine underwent slight modifications to those being used on other models and the gear lever was placed on the floor in the centre of the car. The standard transmission provided a top speed of 130mph and a very respectable 0-62mph in 8.8 seconds. As with the previous generation SL's, the vehicle came as an open roadster with removable hard top roof. The R107 body shape went on to become one of the longest running styles from Mercedes-Benz, remaining in production until 1989 with some 13 variants during that time. Even by today's standards for sports cars the 350 SL's spacious cockpit looks excellent with great ergonomics.First registered on 20th November 1973, this handsome and rare 350SL has been well cared for throughout its life. Believed to be one of only eight right-hand drive cars supplied to the UK, the car comes with a lovely history file showing many past MoT test certificates as well as many receipts for the car’s maintenance. Most impressive in the history file is the Mercedes-Benz maintenance book which boasts 13 service stamps, tracking the vehicle’s mileage throughout. The car presents beautifully with the resprayed blue coachwork gleaming in the sun and the tan interior complimenting the blue perfectly. Supplied with its factory hardtop, the vendor reports the car to run and drive very well, with the 3.5. litre V8 pulling smoothly.Supplied with a UK V5C registration document, full book pack including stamped maintenance book, old MoT test certificates and a file of receipts. The Mercedes-Benz W210 is the internal designation for a range of executive cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz and marketed under the E-Class model name in both saloon between 1995–2002. The W210 was designed by Steve Mattin under design chief Bruno Sacco between 1988 and 1991, later being previewed on the 1993 Coupé Concept shown at the Geneva Auto Show in March 1993.Acquired new from Jacksons Mercedes-Benz of Poole on 25 June 1997, presented in original 341 Aquamarine Blue this car was used occasionally until 2012, when the garage it was always stored in became its more permanent home. Recently recommissioned for road use, this example is described as incredibly clean and original. Having covered so few miles this has had just three services in its lifetime, all with independent specialists. Boasting the five-cylinder, naturally aspirated diesel engine with five-speed manual gearbox this is offered with an MoT certificate until August 2025 and a UK V5C document. We are informed no bodywork or restoration has ever been carried out and the paintwork remains entirely original, the trim is beautifully preserved, the walnut veneers carpeting and headlining and trim all appear in fine condition, the original first aid kit remains unopened and can still be found within the rear armrest. We are informed this example is amongst the cleanest examples under the bonnet that you're ever likely to see and a real collectors quality car. Recently a new lift pump was fitted and the car was inspected by a diesel specialist Injection Development in Canterbury. Viewing is strongly advised to appreciate. The BMW M3 is one of the most iconic sports cars of all time. The vehicle first entered production in 1986 and quickly became known for its high performance and excellent driving dynamics. The E46 generation of M3s was produced from 2000 to 2006 and was the third generation of the M3. The E46 generation was powered by the legendary S54 3.2 litre inline six-cylinder engine, which produced 343bhp and could boast a redline of 8000rpm. This power was sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, or the optional SMG semi automatic. The E46 M3 was also equipped with several performance features, including a limited-slip differential, larger brakes and improved suspension. The E46 M3 was praised for its handling and power, and it is still considered to be one of the best M3s ever made.Beautifully presented in rare and very desirable Laguna Seca Blue, with matching blue trim, this stunning manual example of the E46 M3 is owned and cherished by our BMW enthusiast owner and has been for the past five years. He purchased it from the third owner before him, who had owned for nine years. Registered 31st March 2003, it was specified from new with and electric glass sunroof, front centre arm-rest, Laguna Seca Blue Nappa Leather and the Laguna Seca Blue solid non-metallic paint. This took the price to £40,100 when new. Supplied with a service history and an MoT until December, the car has recently been treated to a new differential, boot floor reinforcement, new rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres and 6mm Michelin sports to the front, new rear drive shafts and a replacement prop shaft. Also recently the car was treated to new brake discs and pads all round. A standard car in fabulous order that has been treated to a paint refresh for stone chips, it defies the odometer reading in condition, in manual guise and Leguna Seca this is a truly collectable, car even if it had double the mileage so viewing is highly recommended. The Jaguar Mk. X was the top of the range saloon built by the British manufacturer primarily aimed at the US market. The unitary construction body-shell was codenamed ‘Zenith’ during development and this floor pan continued in production long after production ended. The interior was the last Jaguar with abundant standard woodwork, including the dashboard, escutcheons, window trim, a pair of large book-matched fold-out rear picnic tables and a front seat pull-out picnic table stowed beneath the instrument cluster. It was also the first Jaguar saloon to feature independent rear suspension and differed from earlier large Jaguar saloons in having 14" wheels instead of the more common 15". The car initially featured a 3,781cc version of Jaguar's XK in-line, six-cylinder engine. For the London Motor Show in October 1964, the enlarged 4,235cc unit took over although the 3.8 litre unit could still be specified until October 1965. Stopping power for this heavy car came from servo assisted disc-brakes on all four wheels; power assisted steering was standard. This Mk. X Jaguar is fitted with the very rare and desirable manual overdrive gearbox. It was first registered on 6th September 1963 with the registration AFW 131A. Presented in a distinguished colour combination of metallic bronze with a complementary tan leather interior showing a wonderful patina, Webasto sunroof, electric windows all round and steel wheels. Early in its life the car was re-registered as 6670 VR and, although not much history is available from that time, it is known that the car was originally owned in Dorset before being displayed as an exhibit at the Skopos Motor Museum (now known as the Yorkshire Motor Museum) who indicate a total mileage of just 31,716 in August of 2000.Early in 2002, the car stayed a short time in the ownership of a collector before being purchased in 2003 from the collector’s widow by the father of our vendor. The car was taken to his estate in Ireland and was registered 63-D-810, where it resided as part of his private collection until 2018 when his son (our vendor) returned the car to the UK under its original registration. This example is in very good order throughout, testament to the care received throughout its ownership, and presents as an original unrestored car boasting copious history from both its time in Ireland and since its return to the UK.These Jaguars enjoy a well-respected place in automotive history and with its commanding presence and glorious 3.8 litre Jaguar engine, it is not hard to see why. This Mk. X is a great original example with a delightful patina. You would be hard pushed to find a genuine unrestored car in such good condition today. Whilst it is certainly true that there are a number of similarities that follow through from the previous model, the Stuttgart firm have always been very keen to point out that at least 85% of the car, in fact, differed. From the obvious change to the bumpers through to the increased displacement of car’s motive power. ABS brakes now became standard and careful attention has been paid to the aerodynamics used to reduce the drag coefficient down to virtually zero. The stability and road holding at high speed were also greatly improved with a new retractable spoiler automatically extending at 50mph seriously increasing downforce and doubling the volume of air fed into the engine compartment.Registered new on 21st May 1990 this example is the desirable right hand drive, manual, convertible derivative. The Porsche has been treated and cared for throughout its life and has recently had extensive works to the convertible roof including a new gearbox and sensors, motor repairs and a refurbished control unit as well as a comprehensive service approximately 950 miles ago with GT One Ltd, Porsche specialists based in Surrey, a year before that. In fact, works have taken place reliably with this firm stretching back to 2016 which includes regular servicing, air conditioning and general maintenance. The lack of usage undertaken between 2019 and 2023 relates to the Covid epidemic during which time, the owner stayed in Ireland. After which, it was thus refreshed and used again. Two fresh Pirelli P Zero tyres were fitted in 2017 but with only circa 2,600 miles driven between then and now, their use can only really be described as occasional. Works continue going back with GT One and then back to Porsche main dealers including substantial servicing in 2014. In fact, 2014 represents an important date as it was then that the Porsche Service Centre in Byfleet undertook a full and comprehensive engine rebuild costing just shy of £20,000 and detailing nine pages of labour and spare parts. Work also included a new clutch kit, two suspension wishbones and new front brake discs and pads were also fitted at this time. In 2023 it was treated to an extensive 6,000 mile service costing over £4,000 including rectification of some general minor issues. Presented in classic Guards Red with Linen leather interior, including desirable options such as 17" Cup alloys and Sports front seats, it also comes complete with a current MoT test certificate with no advisories, valid until June 2025, and an indoor Porsche cover. This is a very well presented example ready to be enjoyed by its new custodian. In 1992, 12 years after the last MG sports car had rolled off the Abingdon production lines, Austin-Rover made the inspired decision to revive this most charismatic of British marques by introducing an entirely new model - the MG RV8. The success of the Heritage MGB replacement bodyshell had demonstrated the continuing popularity of that car, so the decision was taken to base the new model on MG's most successful sports car, suitably re-engineered for the 1990s. The MG RV8 was announced at the 1992 Motor Show, its launch being timed to coincide with the MGB's 30th anniversary. Although recognisably related to its distinguished forebear, the RV8 was wider, lower and sleeker, featuring fully integrated body-coloured bumpers in the modern idiom. Beneath the power-bulged bonnet there was the latest 3.9-litre version of the Rover V8 engine, a modern derivative of that used to power the MGB V8 back in the 1970s, mated to a Rover LT77 five-speed manual gearbox. With a maximum power output of 188bhp capable of a top speed of 135mph, the RV8 was the most powerful MG ever at the time of its launch. The UK price on introduction was £26,500. Only 1,983 MG RV8s were built in total, around 75% of which were exported to Japan with the remainder sold new in the UK. There was no left-hand drive version. This lovely MG RV8 was supplied new in the UK in February 1995 by Castle Garage, Ludlow, Shropshire. Purchased by the current owner in 2019 when the odometer was reading 03,277 miles, in his ownership he has covered less than 2,000 miles. Shortly after purchase, he had electric power steering fitted to aid the driving. Finished in British Racing Green with Stone Biege leather, it is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in August 2025, a service book giving the service history up to 2019 and a file containing invoices, sales brochures, old MoT’s and a CD Rom repair manual. These RV8’s were built to a high standard with a good specification and being in limited numbers, especially UK supplied cars, means they contain all the right ingredients to become a future classic. The 1981 Ferrari 308 is an iconic sports car, celebrated for its timeless design and driving performance. Part of Ferrari's 308 series, the 1981 model belongs to the 308 GTB/GTS line-up. Introduced in 1975, the 308 quickly became a symbol of Italian automotive excellence, with the 1981 version being one of the most refined iterations of this classic. Powered by a 2.9 litre V8 engine, the 308 produced around 240 horsepower. Though modest by today’s supercar standards, the car’s lightweight design, rear-wheel-drive layout, and precise five-speed manual transmission allowed it to deliver an exhilarating driving experience. The engine featured four twin-choke Weber carburettors, offering a distinct, throaty sound that became synonymous with Ferrari's character. Visually, the 1981 308 is distinguished by its Pininfarina-styled body, characterised by sleek, flowing lines, pop-up headlights, and a wedge-shaped silhouette that was emblematic of 1980s automotive design. The interior, though spartan by modern standards, was driver-focused, with supportive leather seats, a gated gear change and an instrument panel dominated by analogue gauges. The 308 gained widespread recognition through popular culture, especially as the car driven by Tom Selleck in the television series Magnum, P.I. This exposure cemented its status as an automotive icon. Today, the 1981 Ferrari 308 remains a sought-after classic, cherished for its heritage, beauty, and performance.Finished in Rosso Corsa with tan leather interior this left hand drive 1981 Ferrari 308 was imported from the U.S. and comes with a NOVA certificate, together with the original owners title. Present are also the owners manual and two sets of keys, together with some service documents. These super stylish Ferrari’s of the period are fantastic to drive when on song. Whilst this example will require a small amount of recommissioning, it is competitively estimated given the condition and odometer reading. These are arguably one of the prettiest of all Ferraris built. Consigned by Stewart Banks. IMPORTED FROM THE U.S. AND HAS A NOVA CERTIFICATE.
