Account of coffee planting and life in 18th century Saint-Domingue (present-day Haiti), which at that point accounted for around sixty percent of the world's coffee production. This extensive work was written as a manual for British coffee planters, and includes a chapter on slave management, along with an account of the 1790s slave revolt.
