A scarce large size 1950s gents Omega manual wristwatch, cal. 266 17 jewel movement, no. 13277183, silvered 31mm. dial with Arabic numerals at the quarters and kite shaped gilt batons, black printed trademark and 'OMEGA', subsidiary seconds at six, 37mm. snap back gold plated case, later leather strap., *Condition:Winds and runs. Case back is stainless steel and possibly a replacement. Crown not signed and probably replaced. Dial discoloured and has spotted tarnishing throughout. Case good overall with expected scratching from use. Later brown leather strap in good cdn.

Three large folios containing samples of lace, one book contains examples of machine made lace, trimmings and motifs, also hand embroidered fabrics including fine silk waned in silk floss, metal thread lace trimmings and large swatches hand embroidered with lace inserts, the book then displays examples of lace in black and white. Various lace techniques, flat and raised needlepoint as well as tambar and drawn worn on net to name a few. The second book is titled Oriental lace Novelties, J Kirkland and Sons, Nottingham, and contains samples of embroidered silk, embroidered tulle, embroidered muslin also includes rubbing's on paper to illustrate the raised embroidered threads, each sample has a manual reference numbered label. The book then moves on to include coloured fabric swatches with machine embroidered motifs. Fragile condition. The third book contains a mixture of fabric samples with machine embroidered motifs in various colours as well as paper patterns for each.
