A 1967 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 2+2 coupe for restoration, registration NNP 222E, Chassis number 1E 50574, finished in black with chrome wire wheels, original U.K. car owned by the same family since new, lacking doors, tailgate, interior (dashboard and all instrumentation intact), glass, heater, airbox headlamps and other minor components, body number 4E 52488, engine number 7F 52192 (presumed original, cylinder head is stamped `7E 52182-9`) and manual gearbox number EJ 510329 (also presumed original).. The current lot has been in dry storage since the 1980s when it was laid-up to await restoration. Unfortunately a recent break-in has resulted in the loss of the doors, tailgate, interior (dashboard and all instrumentation intact), window glass, heater, airbox headlamps and other minor components. However as far as we are aware this car has never suffered accident damage (although the bonnet has some denting from mishandling) and the shell and front spaceframe appear to be in very sound condition with corrosion apparently being limited to more superficial areas such as the rear wheel arches and bonnet seams.. This car is not currently listed on the DVLA`s database (presumably due to being laid-up prior to creation of their computer database in the 1980s), but the original log book and a hand book accompany the lot.. This lot can be viewed at the Baynton Road saleroom, Ashton, Bristol BS3 2EB during the stated view times. Visit www.dnfa.com for condition reports.

Household Manual.- Fleury 1688 first edition title printed in red and black and with woodcut ornament 9pp. advertisements at end occasional marginal staining contemporary speckled calf spine ends chipped small piece out of foot joints splitting but holding firm corners worn [Cagle 192; Crahan 141] 12mo Paris chez Pierre Aubouin Pierre Emery et Charles Clouzier 1688. ***A scarce and important household manual. We can trace only 2 other copies at auction (Crahan and Leon Lambert sales). It provides an intimate view into the 17th century French household. It outlines the rules that each servant in the household should follow including cooks and maitres d`hotel and the social and moral duties owed by a master to his employees. Brief discussion is also made of the types of food and drink that should be made available to servants. Claude Fleury was a friend and protégé of Bossuet. .
