Lange & Sohne.Produced to the Luftwaffe's specifications, the watches all have a mechanical movement with centre seconds, cases measuring 55mm to accommodate the large movements (which were typically used in pocket watches) and have an oversized crown. The watches would all be fitted on an extra-long leather strap so they could be worn over a flight jacket. The crown could be operated with gloves on pulling it out stops the central seconds. The B-Uhr had two dial variations - Type A dials, such as the present, featured a standard outer minute track and large triangle at 12 o'clock, while the later Type B dials had an inner hour track and outer minute track. The watch cases were engraved on the left side 'FL23883' to identify the watch was for navigation. 1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Transmission: manual Mileage: 95515The Chevrolet Camaro was classified as a pony car and as a muscle car with some versions. The fourth-generation Camaro debuted in 1993. It retained the same characteristics since its introduction in 1967 a coupé body style with 2+2 seating (with an optional T-top roof) or convertible reintroduced in 1994, rear-wheel drive, pushrod 6-cylinder and V8 engines. The standard powerplant from 1993 to 1995 was a 3.4 L V6, then a 3.8 L V6 was introduced in 1995. A 350 MPFI (LT1) Small Block V-8 engine, which was introduced in the Corvette in 1992, was standard in the Z28 the 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission was also standard on the Z28, yet optional on the V6 models which came with a 5-speed manual as standard. This desirable manual gearbox Z28 with the full fat 5.7 litre V8 is presented in Blue with Grey trim but wrapped in an individual camouflage finish which certainly stands our… or should we say blends in. This example was first registered in the UK in 1997 but noted as a 1994 production date. Offered with a UK registration certificate and MoT test certificate until February 2022 this six speed manual also benefits from the T top roof perfect to heat that V8 on summer drives.Guide Price £4,000 - £6,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1967 Fiat 850 Idromatic Transmission: manual Mileage: 22100With its small, rear-engine 850 model doing well in the marketplace, for 1968 Fiat introduced an improved version, designated 850 Special. The 850, which had been new for 1964, featured an 843cc water-cooled four at the rear, and a four-speed transaxle, fully-synchronized with Porsche synchros. It developed 34 bhp, 37 in a high performance version. Seating was comfortable and a top speed of 75 mph was comparable with some 1100cc cars like the Morris Minor or Ford Anglia. At the 1965 Geneva Motor Show a fastback coupé was introduced, a 2+2 with 47 bhp engine. A sporty spider was also available, designed and built by Bertone. This adorable little Italian ‘town car’ is presented in white with red interior and is in good condition throughout. The current keeper has owned it for circa six years and has driven it sporadically over this period and has kept it garaged. This delightful mid-engine classic is practical, fun and is offered without reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1975 MG B GT Jubilee Model Transmission: manual Mileage: 64303Conceived in the late 1950’s and launched in 1962, the MGB would turn out to be one of the most successful sports cars of all time. The B carried on MG’s traditional role of providing affordable sports car motoring for the ordinary enthusiast. The popularity of factory hardtops for its MGA predecessor and the success of the Coupé variant influenced the decision to produce a closed version of the MGB that would provide the increased practicality and refinement which was being demanded by the maturing sports car market. Styled by Pininfarina, the MGB GT coupé arrived in 1965 to be greeted by universal acclaim. The adoption of a stylish fastback bodyshell enabled the provision of two occasional rear seats which, when folded flat, created a generous load platform accessible by the rear tailgate. The more robust five-bearing B-series engine was fitted to the GT right from the start and when Abingdon finished production, over 125,000 MGB GT’s had been built. The MGB’s popularity remains undiminished, one of the major factors being the continuing availability of spare parts and expertise, making it one of the easiest classic cars to run and maintain.Originally registered on 1st August 1975, this Jubilee Model MGB has only had three former keepers from new. After a period in storage the car has recently been recommissioned and mechanically starts on the button and we are advised she drives well. The green paintwork will require refreshing and the wheels are also in need of refurbishment. However these limited edition MGB’s are well worth the time and effort. Of the 751 examples manufactured, one was destroyed in an advertising stunt that went wrong and it is thought about half of them remain. Complemented by V8 wheels and supported well by the various car clubs, this MGB GT is offered for sale without reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1992 Renault 4L Transmission: manual Mileage: 55000Louis Renault and his brothers founded their company in 1898. They quickly made a name for themselves in motor racing, notching up a string of wins in their Voiturettes. The 4CV, which was secretly designed and developed during WW2, was produced from 1946 to 1961, and became the first French car to sell over a million units. Subsequently the company continued to grow, up until the early 1980s. The renewal of the range gathered pace with the launch of two upmarket models: the 25 and the Espace. The brand made its mark in motorsports and entered Formula 1. Today, Renault is a privately held company well known for numerous revolutionary designs, safety technologies, and motor racing. It is also Europe’s number one brand for cars and light commercial vehicles. The Renault 4, also known as the 4L or ‘Quatre L’ in France, was the first front-wheel drive family car by Renault and was in essence Renault’s response to the 1948 Citroën 2CV. Renault successfully reviewed the advantages and disadvantages of the 2CV design and came up with a superior product.Finished in red with black vinyl interior and still in left hand drive guise, this Renault 4 is one of the most delightful examples of a Renault 4 you could possibly wish to find. Both the exterior paint and the interior trim are pristine and just as lovely as the day it rolled off the production line. Under the bonnet, an ‘Assemble en Yougoslavie’, reveals that this was a former Yugoslavia, now Slovenia, built car, the last country to build Renault 4s up to 1994. Rarely are such well looked after examples of the iconic and hugely successful little Renaults offered for sale.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1985 Ford Escort XR3i Transmission: manual Mileage: 34599Launched in March 1986, with only a small number of changes over its predecessor, optional new features included a mechanical anti-lock braking system (standard on RS Turbo models), a fuel computer on fuel-injected models and a heated windscreen. These changes were welcome at a time when the Escort was faced with a host of new competitors; General Motors had brought out a new version of the Vauxhall Astra 18 months earlier, shortly after Volkswagen had introduced the Mk. II Golf. As well as an all-new interior, a new derivative of the CVH engine was introduced, as well as numerous suspension tweaks to address the long-standing criticisms of the Escort's handling and ride quality.Originally registered on 1st August 1985 this XR3i is finished in red with grey velour interior. The coachwork is in good order and shows no sign of corrosion. The engine burst into life when requested and we are advised she drives with no known faults. With only two former keepers, the current registered keeper has owned her since March 2008, clearly this has been a well-cared for example throughout its life. The mileage of 34,599 is thought to be correct although not warranted, the condition is certainly commensurate with such a low mileage example. Sitting proud, sounding great and looking superb, this Escort XR3i is supplied with a V5C registration document, a full year’s MoT test certificate, together with some invoices, this is an opportunity to purchase one of Dagenham’s finest models. Interested parties should note that the dashboard on this vehicle has some sun damaged and will require replacing.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1970 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce Transmission: manual Mileage: 30601The first of Alfa Romeo’s Bertone styled coupés, the 1.6 litre Giulia Sprint GT, was launched in 1963. Mechanically the stylish new 2+2 was much the same as the Giulia TI sports saloon, featuring a five-speed manual gearbox, independent front suspension, coil-spring live rear axle and disc brakes all round. A 1300 model, the GT Junior, arrived in 1966 and the range was further extended the following year by the launch of the 1750 GTV, the latter powered by a 1,799cc, 118bhp version of Alfa’s classic twin-cam, four-cylinder engine, in a four-headlight version of the existing bodyshell running on 14-inch wheels. A short lived but nevertheless popular model, the 1750 GTV underwent a minor mechanical and styling revision part way through production before being replaced by the 2000 version in 1972. More powerful than the 1600 but sweeter running than the 2000, the 1750 is the choice of the Alfa Romeo enthusiast who knows their GTVs. Driver’s cars par excellence in the Alfa tradition, Bertone’s timelessly elegant Giulia coupés are among the most exciting sports saloons of the 1960s and today all versions are highly sought after. This lovely, rare, right hand drive Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce is in very good condition throughout. A condition report written for a previous owner in 1998 tells of the body being restored and new wings fitted. Supplied new with Webasto sunroof with a very rare deflector, a clock and outside temperature gauge. This 1750 GTV has been very well maintained, and no expense spared by the two previous owners over the last 24 years. The car is finished in Biancospino with black interior and comes supplied with a UK V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in December 2021, a large history file containing invoices from Alfa specialist Gran Turismo, Andrew Thorogood and Titus Rowlandson of Victory Garage showing all the work carried out since 1998, old MoT’s dating back to 1996, the early condition report and an article relating to the Alfa GTV. The current owner has just had the Alfa Romeo GT Junior rubber over rugs fitted to protect the carpets, he also reports that everything works on the car. This represents a rare opportunity for an Alfa Romeo enthusiast to own one of these eminently collectible models.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1988 Vegantune Evante Series 1 Transmission: manual Mileage: 33450Renowned worldwide for its successful racing engines, the Spalding-based firm of VeganTune diversified into car making in the early 1980s with the Lotus Elan-inspired Evante, a separate company - Evante Cars Ltd - being set up to handle its manufacture. Although Elan-like in appearance, the glassfibre-bodied Evante employed a stronger, tubular-steel spaceframe chassis rather than the Lotus’s backbone type and was powered by VeganTune’s own Ford-based VTA twin-cam engine. Producing 170bhp and 140lb/ft of torque from its 1.7 litres, this engine, with its belt-driven camshafts and accessible water pump, was reckoned much easier to maintain than the Lotus version. Only produced to individual customer order, the Evante failed to weather the late 1980s recession. After only a limited number had been made, the operation was sold to a consortium of Spalding businessmen, which continued production of the Evante 140TC. In the autumn of 1992, Evante was sold to another specialist vehicle manufacturer – Newark-based Fleur De Lys Automobile Manufacturing Limited – which re-engineered the chassis to accept the 1.8 litre Ford Zetec 16 valve engine. This rare example of this British sports car is presented in Metallic Blue with blue leather interior with attractive Walnut dashboard. The car has had just four owners from new, the last one keeping the car from 1997 to 2021. It was sent back to Vegantune main agent at 20,000 miles and was fully upgraded to Series 2 Sprint specification. This included new upgraded bearings and pistons, reworked big valve head and camshafts, twin 45mm twin choke carburettors, new stainless steel exhaust and upgraded Spax adjustable coil over shock absorbers. The car also benefits from a new hood and comes with its tonneau covers which are in good condition. There are two history folders accompanying the car with specification sheets, old MoTs and receipts for work carried out. It will be fully recommissioned by the present owner prior to auction which will include a full engine service and tune, brakes overhaul and a new MoT test certificate will be supplied. It is powered by the lively and great sounding 1700cc Twin Cam engine which provides exciting performance with great handling to match.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1968 Sunbeam Alpine Series V Transmission: manual Mileage: 129519The Sunbeam Alpine was launched in 1953 as the first vehicle from Sunbeam-Talbot to bear the Sunbeam name alone, since the 1935 takeover of Sunbeam and Talbot by the Rootes Group. Ken Howes and Jeff Crompton were tasked with doing a complete redesign of the Alpine in 1956 with the goal of producing a dedicated sports car aimed principally at the US market. The Series V Alpine was produced from 1965 through to 1968, the final version having a new five-bearing, 1725cc engine with twin Zenith-Stromberg semi-downdraught carburettors producing 93bhp.This particular example is presented in traditional Old English White with a black interior and a black manual folding hood. The car sits on a set of Minilite wheels and the interior enjoys a walnut dashboard, wood steering wheel and its lively 1725cc engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox. This is the last in the series of these highly popular and pretty little British sports cars and are a delight to drive. This example is offered at no reserve and we are sure will be huge amounts of fun for the new owner.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1961 Jaguar Mk. II (2.4 Litre) Transmission: manual Mileage: 63000Synonymous with the swinging ‘60’s and the hit TV series, Inspector Morse, the Jaguar Mk. II saloon has been used as a vehicle to transport everyone from dignitaries and politicians to bank robbers and the criminal select. Desirable due to being a well-balanced saloon car with space for four adults and a good size boot, it also boasted engine options including the mighty Jaguar 3.8 litre power unit; small wonder it became popular as a getaway vehicle. When released, traditional Jaguar buyers had no need to feel alienated by the new offering from Coventry as the interior was up to their usual standards with leather and walnut being the order of the day. With 112bhp available, the 2.4 was not overly burdened with pace so, importantly, coupled to a manual gearbox with overdrive it would be the more frugal of the range but give the driver the ability to utilise the full range of the 2.4 engine.Presented in the splendid colour combination of British Racing Green over a green leather interior, this lovely Mk. II has been part of a private collection for some years. Offered in generally very good order throughout, the paintwork is bright and shows very few blemishes as does the interior, the seats show a light patina and the wood dashboard is well. The history file that accompanies the car includes numerous receipts and MoT test certificates as well as the current V5 registration document and an old style buff logbook. The vendor reports that this smartly presented example runs and drives well and we believe it is offered at a very attractive estimate indeed. Interested parties should note this vehicle is listed on HPI as a category D Insurance loss dated 29th April 2001.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1989 Ford Escort Cabriolet Transmission: manual Mileage: 141050The Ford Escort was manufactured from 1968 to 2004 and was produced in six different model derivatives. The fourth version of the Ford Escort was launched in March 1986, with only a small number of changes over its predecessor. Optional new features included a mechanical anti-lock braking system, a fuel computer on fuel-injected models and a heated windscreen. These changes were welcome at a time when the Escort was faced with a host of new competitors. Supplied new in 1989 by Billingshurst Ford, the sales invoice shows that this Cabriolet was again sold by them to Mrs Strudwick of Billingshurst for the sum of £3,995 and it still retains the original number plates and rear sticker. It is presented in Azure blue coachwork which was repainted this year as part of a full recommissioning and included refurbishing the alloy wheels which were then reshod with new Yokohoma tyres. A new exhaust and a full service with new parts completed the job resulting in a car which is now in fabulous order throughout. Offered with a current MoT until December 2021 with two advisories; both of which have been addressed, the car is also supplied with two sets of keys and original radio codes and we are informed it drives without any mechanical issues. A great piece of 80’s/90’s nostalgia. Guide Price £6,000 - £8,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1983 Porsche 928 S Transmission: automatic Mileage: 71047These fabulous sports cars were unveiled at the Geneva Salon in 1977 and voted Car of the Year for 1978. It was intended as an upmarket replacement for the long-running 911 but in the event Porsche's rear-engined classic would outlive its younger sibling. The front-engined 928's stylish hatchback body featured aluminium doors, bonnet and front wings in the interests of weight saving, while ingenious impact resistant 'bumpers' made of colour matched plastic were incorporated into the nose and tail. A five speed transaxle gearbox or three speed automatic were the transmission options, in 1980 the 928S with its 4.7 litre engine arrived and then in 1986 the model was further revised and restyled, becoming the 928 S4. Its engine producing 320bhp courtesy of twin-cam, 16 valve cylinder heads and enlargement to 4,957cc, the S4 enjoyed a welcome top speed boost to 160mph.The car was originally supplied by Charles Follet Ltd of 18 Berkeley Street, London W1 and registered on 3rd March 1983 to Mr. Peter Bowles of Castlenau, London. This very low mileage automatic transmission example presents well in silver with contrasting blue leather upholstery. The car comes with its original Porsche wallet containing the drivers manual, service guide and the all important maintenance record, which is well stamped with a combination of main agent and specialist services. Offered to auction with a V5c registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until March 2022 viewing of this handsome example is encouraged. The popularity of these Porsches has increased over recent years and rightly so. This powerful, sleek and user friendly model is surely one to watch for investment potential.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2004 Mercedes-Benz E320T V6 Estate Avantgarde Transmission: automatic Mileage: 20300The 2003 E-Class was larger than its predecessors while offering less interior space, particularly in the estate version, than the W210 it replaced. It offered petrol or diesel engines with a choice of rear or 4-wheel drive. The redesigned 2003 model featured electrohydraulic braking system marketed as Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC), which was standard equipment in the E-Class. Options included multicontour front seats and dual control air suspension system marketed as Airmatic DC. The 2003 E-Class was offered in saloon and five door estate car configuration in three trim lines; Classic, Elegance and Avantgarde. The transmission options were five or seven speed automatic or six speed manual. V6, V8, inline four and supercharged inline four cylinder engines were offered. This absolutely superb example is presented in silver with black interior. This Mercedes-Benz comes with air conditioning with climate control, cruise control, electric memory front seats, electric glass sunroof, CD changer and electric folding mirrors. Its meagre mileage from new of 20,300 is guaranteed and its condition is totally commensurate with this. This surely must be one of the best examples of this terrific ‘work horse’ from the German manufacturer and its smooth V6 petrol engine is a joy.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale.
