A POSSIBLY UNIQUE GENTLEMAN'S STAINLESS STEEL OMEGA SPEEDMASTER CHRONOGRAPH BRACELET WATCHCIRCA 1963, REF. 105.002-62 S.C. FITTED WITH MATT GREY PROTOTYPE DIAL, ACCOMPANIED BY ORIGINAL SINGER BATCH REFERENCE STICKER 20816Movement: 17J, manual wind, cal. 321, signed Omega Watch Co., numbered 19,xxx,xxx. Case: Diameter approx. 39mm, screw back, signed Omega Watch Co, Speedmaster emblem engraved on case back, "DON" tachymetre bezel, dust cover, Omega crown.Bracelet: Omega flat-link bracelet, numbered 7912 with 516 end links, dated 4.62.This watch features a very unusual matt grey dial with black markers that comes from a batch of prototype dials (batch 20816) made by Singer, who were the official Omega dial makers at the time. These dials were most likely rejected dials by Omega as they were never carried over into general production. This particular example is very different to the typical Speedmaster dial and is what makes it so interesting and unique. These dials were discovered many years ago by the vendor solely as dials with their batch reference sticker applied on the back and no dial feet. They are presented today fitted to the correct watches from the period.CONDITION REPORTDial: Original prototype dial in very good condition, showing some small signs of age & light marks to the surface.Movement: Running & functioning at present, timekeeping and accuracy cannot be guaranteed.Case: In good condition, with small scratches due to general use.Strap/Bracelet: In very good condition, with some light scratches due to general use.
