The interior is complemented by a walnut dashboard and door cappings and the look is enhanced with wire wheels and an abundance of chrome. This low mileage example shows only two previous owners since its arrival in the UK in 2005. 1973 Triumph TR6 Transmission: manualMileage:72279The Triumph TR6 was manufactured for seven years from 1969 and by the time production came to an end in July 1976, it was the best-seller of the TR range. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the Triumph TR5, however the front and rear were squared off and all TR6s featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market, the engine was fitted with carburettors whilst, for other world markets including the UK, the TR6 was fitted with fuel-injection. It featured a four-speed manual gearbox, independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, 15 wheels and tyres, pile carpet on the floors and boot, bucket seats and a full complement of instruments. In total 94,619 TR6s were built of which 86,249 were sold overseas and only 8,370 were sold in the UK.This stunning example was the winner of ‘Best Standard Car’ at the 2017 TR Register International Weekend. The car has been subject to a full body off restoration with photographic record, the works included restoring or replacing all parts during the rebuild and the file for this Triumph contains invoices totalling over £32,000 from specialist restorers RBW Motors of Skelton Co. Durham. Fitted with the desirable overdrive, twin stainless steel exhaust, electric thermostatic fan, walnut dash and Moto-Lita steering wheel, this is one of the finest examples we have seen and, we are told it’s a joy to drive. In rare deviation from standard the car is fitted with the popular upgrade of Mazda MX5 seats however, the original seats are also supplied. The impressive looks of this Wedgewood Blue TR are enhanced by a dark blue fabric hood and tonneau cover. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document, a Heritage Certificate confirming the car as an original home market right hand drive example and although exempt a fresh MoT test certificate.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1967 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Stingray 427 Transmission: manualMileage:59560The Corvette Stingray had grown to be America's most popular sports car since its debut in 1953 but it was time for a change for the 1963-1967 models. Even the most superlative design grows whiskers after a decade and Chevrolet Chief, Bill Mitchell and stylist, Larry Shinoda, faced a tough task; to improve a living legend. Not only did they succeed but their creation turned into a modern classic and they created the most collectible Corvette of them all, sending sales soaring to record levels. Seeds were planted by the Stingray Special racer and experimental XP-720 which displayed a smooth fastback profile and split back window. These and other styling details such as pivoting hidden headlights, doors cut into the roof, and a swage line dip all wound up in the production Stingray. The four headlights aligned with the pointy front end when shut, rotating open when needed. Luggage space grew, though lack of a boot lid earned few plaudits. There was less fibreglass but nearly twice as much steel in the sculptured body, which rode a shorter 98-inch wheelbase. This truly stunning example of the 427 Corvette C2 Stingray was first manufactured in St Louis, Missouri by GM in June 1967 and supplied by Orr Chev-Cadillac in Texas, confirmed by the NCRS Judging Chairman Tom Falconer in a dating certificate included in the history file. The car is presented in a stunning combination of near unmarked metallic Marlboro Maroon coachwork with full black trim, the Stinger hood (Bonnet bulge) which was a 1967 BB option only and all the chrome trimmings one would expect. From new it was specified with factory air conditioning - rare for a convertible - and features the Rallye wheels again a 1967 only option and the side exhaust which sounds fabulous. Being the big block 427ci V8 with 390 bhp this example also ticks the box for power and the ability to really surprise modern day traffic. We can ascertain from the history file that the car was purchased by an Italian collector in Parma in 2015 from a Mr Crecos in Illinois, USA an NCRS member who had the car restored. Once in Italy an engine fault resulted in the owner spending circa €30,000 on an engine rebuild and upgrades to the lights for Italian roadgoing reasons. Our vendor, who had been searching for a top notch C2, flew to Parma in 2016 having heard that post rebuild, the collector was looking to sell his example and buy a Porsche 356 Speedster. After a coffee and inspection he fell in love and made an offer before purchasing and sending the car back to the UK. Having already had an engine rebuild, our vendor was aware it would benefit from a gearbox rebuild and, wanting the car to be absolutely perfect for him, he decided almost immediately to commission Claremont Corvette in April 2016 to rebuild the gearbox. Our vendor now states the car runs and drives superbly and invoices for all the work undertaken during its time in Italy and the UK can be found within the history file alongside manuals, history and title reports, NCRS communication and dating certificate, US certificate of title, Italian papers and UK V5C certificate.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1970 Land Rover Series IIA 88’’ Transmission: manualMileage:50020The Land Rover Series IIA is considered by many to be the hardiest Series model constructed. It is also quite possibly the model that features most strongly in the general public's perception of the Land Rover, from its many appearances in popular films and television documentaries set in Africa throughout the 1960s, such as Born Free. In February 1968, just a few months after its manufacturer had been subsumed, under government pressure, into the Leyland Motor Corporation, the Land Rover celebrated its twentieth birthday, with total production to date just short of 600,000, of which more than 70% had been exported. This example has recently been treated to an external restoration by marque specialist, Stuart Brown. The body and paintwork were refinished in the original Bronze Green and Limestone, all four wheels were refurbished, and seals, lamps, gaskets, hinges and other external parts were replaced or renewed where necessary, retaining the originality of existing parts wherever possible. Other works completed included a comprehensive brake overhaul, specialist roof lining and a new starter motor replaced by VR Autos Ltd. The chassis is also reported to be in very original and strong order and has more recently been treated with underseal protection while the interior and engine bay have largely been untouched to preserve an original patina. Showing a mere 49,800 on the odometer, the mileage is believed to be genuine with paperwork and various MoT test certificates indicating a gradual, incremental increase of mileage over the last 14 years of documented history. The history file that accompanies this Land Rover includes various sundry invoices, previous MoT test certificates from 2007 and the UK V5 Registration document. Parked in a dry barn for the last few years and regularly driven on weekends, this Land Rover has been serviced and maintained when necessary and comes to the market with a fresh service prior to sale. We are informed this Land Rover will be driven to the auction by the current vendor who describes the car to run beautifully. We are sure this well-presented example will bring huge amounts of fun to the new owner. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1979 Porsche 911 / 930 Turbo by RUF BTR Transmission: manualMileage:147943Those that know Porsche, know RUF. As AMG is to Mercedes-Benz, RUF take already formidable driving machines and turn them into psychotic hooligans. In a small village in the Allgau region, west of Munich, is the home of RUF Automobile GmbH, a small company who, in conjunction with Porsche, has rewritten the rule books using their own very special font. Production began in earnest in 1983 with the first vehicle to bear a RUF chassis number, a 3.4 litre Turbo model pushing out 374hp through a RUF developed five-speed manual gearbox, arrived. It wasn’t just about raw power; a special instrument was developed, twin spark plugs installed, RUF harness, seats and steering wheel. These upgrades were all cloaked in a new RUF BTR (standing for Group B Turbo RUF) Turbo bodywork.RUF concentrates not only on engine, transmission and body, but also on wheels and brakes with RUF 17” forged Speedline alloy wheels complementing the model range as well RUFs classic four-pipe exhaust and 17” tyres (originally developed for the 959) resulting from a close co-operation with tyre manufacturer, Dunlop. The CTR followed, a lightweight coupé powered by a 469hp, 3.4 litre, twin-turbo engine. This ‘Yellowbird’ as it came to be known, set new benchmarks for street-legal, performance sports cars. It destroyed its peers such as the Ferrari F40, AMG Mercedes-Benz and even the works-tuned Porsche 959. It was in that same year that the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) certified RUF as an automobile manufacturer in its own right. To this day RUF continues to source 'bodies-in-white' directly from Porsche to then produce bespoke sports cars to their new owner’s specification and with each very special set of characteristics. This early lefthand drive RUF BTR with a 3.3 turbo engine is believed to be one of between 70 and 80 examples bearing an original Porsche chassis number and the car still features on their website.First registered in 1979, this Porsche 911/930 Turbo was significantly upgraded to BTR specification in circa 1985 using original RUF parts. The plaque on the glovebox indicates the conversion was completed by the authorised Japanese RUF importer, Ishida Engineering, in conjunction with RUF HQ. Indeed, the RUF factory in Pfaffenhausen, Germany, has supplied a recent letter confirming the originality of all RUF parts and modifications.• RUF five-speed gearbox• RUF single piece forged Speedline alloy wheels (9x17 & 10x17)• RUF twin double tailpipes and exhaust muffler• RUF cockpit Turbo Boost Control• RUF Turbo body kit: deeper bumpers front and rear, and thicker-set side skirts,• RUF badged engine lid• RUF DTM grafted racing wing mirrors• RUF embossed steering wheel• RUF badged instrument cluster with turbo boost gauges• RUF embossed gear lever• RUF floor carpets• Ishida Engineering/RUF plaque on the glovebox• Original RUF specified Recaro racing bucket seats with harnessesSpecified originally in Grand Prix White, this purposeful-looking BTR is fully registered in the UK, fully serviced and comes with a full up-to-date MoT test certificate. Importantly though, it also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche themselves as well as a Certificate of Authenticity from RUF.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2004 Ferrari 575M Maranello Transmission: automaticMileage:11094The Ferrari 575M Maranello is a two-seat, two-door, grand tourer which was launched in 2002, it is essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina. The 575M was replaced by the 599 GTB in the first half of 2006. Updates from the 550, included a renewed interior, but with substantial improvements mechanically, including bigger brake discs, a larger and more powerful engine, improved weight distribution, refined aerodynamics and fluid dynamics along with an adaptive suspension set-up (the four independent suspensions are also controlled by the gearbox, to minimize pitch throughout the 200 milliseconds shift time). Two six-speed transmissions were available; a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, Magneti Marelli's semi-automatic (Electro hydraulic manual) 'F1' gearbox. The 575 model number refers to total engine displacement in litres, whilst the 'M' is an abbreviation of modificato ('modified').This Ferrari 575M, offered in the desirable colour combination of Verde Zeltweg Green over a beige leather interior, was acquired by the current vendor in 2007 and has resided in his private collection since. During his tenure, it has been maintained where necessary and has covered a mere 11,094 miles from new. The paintwork and interior are in fine fettle with no sticky dashboard issues, common with Ferraris of this era. The vendor reports that it runs and drives very well indeed and has recently been treated to a cambelt service in August 2021 by Ferrari Specialists, Rardley Motors. Contained within the history file is a collection of maintenance invoices detailing the care of ownership coupled with the original Ferrari booklets with continuous service stamps, previous Mot test certificates and the UK Registration document. Also included are the original maintenance booklets and tool kit. This very well priced, striking example is one of the best we have seen and is an opportunity not to be missed. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1955 MG TF Transmission: manualMileage:81509Originally launched at the 1953 Motor Show, the MG TF was greeted with mixed reactions from enthusiasts and journalists alike. To the Abingdon engineers, led by Cecil Cousins, it was a model that was sufficiently different from its predecessors and yet continued the traditional T-Series classic lines and the end result was very pleasing to the eye. Interior wise and in keeping with the external modifications, the cockpit layout was quite radically different to that of its predecessor and formed a comfortable and pleasant place to be. Individually adjustable seats were provided in place of the normal bench type seating and the facia panel was completely new with a welcome return to octagonal instrumentation. Often referred to as 'the last of the square riggers' the MG TF gained this title due to its very strong resemblance to the pre-war MG Midgets. This lovely example of this British classic is presented in Burgundy coachwork with red trim and new black hood. Originally sent to the United States, this TF 1500 was imported to the UK in 2012 to our vendor in Middlesex. Upon arrival the left hand drive example was swiftly stripped and over the next two years fully rebuilt as a right hand drive example with 1250 engine and high gear conversion, sitting on new wire wheels and ready to enjoy. The history file with the car is impressive and includes many bills from the United States from the previous owner, Pastor Sidney J Lambert of Vermont, who it appears had owned the car since the 70’s. Since the car has been in the UK the invoices for parts can be found in a bulging history file and the car frankly presents as new. The MG motor cars of this era are often used in rallies both here and in Europe as they are simple to maintain and spritely on country roads and this is no exception with evidence of the car being invited to numerous local shows and having been thoroughly enjoyed but our owner.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Transmission: manualMileage:95919With the introduction of the Giulietta in 1954, Alfa Romeo established the 'small car, big performance' formula that would characterise its finest offerings from that point on. The Giulietta's arrival caused a sensation; demand quickly outstripped supply, causing Alfa Romeo to rethink its production strategy and become a high volume manufacturer. Designed by Pininfarina on a modified Sprint coupé chassis, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider was the company's second post-war model. The little two seat Sports Spider was introduced in 1955 at the insistence of New York importer Max Hoffman, who saw how well small British and German sports cars were being received in America. The Giulietta Spider offered brisk performance (almost 100 mph) from its free revving, all alloy, 1.3 litre twin-cam four, mounted in a steel unibody chassis that weighed less than 1900lbs at the curb. The design was unmistakably Pininfarina exuding elegance and sophistication. This Giulietta Spider, chassis number AR 170763, was completed on 23rd August 1961 and sold on 6th September, 1961, to Alfa Romeo Inc. in Newark, New Jersey. According to records from Automobilismo Storico Alfa Romeo, it was originally finished in white, with either a red or black interior. While its earliest ownership history is currently unknown, it is believed that this beautiful little Alfa made its way to the West Coast early on in its life, which is where the previous owner acquired the car; it was then brought to Tampa, Florida. In Florida, the Giulietta spent the next six years serving as the mascot for the Tre Amici café in Ybor City, a historic district of Tampa. In 2012, the new owner subjected the Spider to a complete restoration. Work began on what was described as a rust-free body by the Florida Classic Cars restoration ship in Tampa. The body was taken down to bare metal and repainted in red, as it had been when acquired. All trim pieces were rechromed or replaced with new ones where needed, and the car also received all new rubber trim and body seals. The black vinyl seats were reconditioned, and the interior was trimmed with new carpeting throughout. Additionally, the Spider received a new matching black cloth top to protect its occupants from a quick downpour. The steering wheel is in excellent condition, as is the chrome horn ring, which has also been rechromed. The dashboard pad and controls are in equally fine order. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document, the Giulietta Spider is one of Alfa Romeo’s most iconic post-war automobiles. Autocar magazine wrote that ‘there is no more desirable small sports car; it sets standards of performance, handling, and refinement that very few others can match.’ And we tend to agree. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1955 AC Ace Transmission: manualMileage:2An influential and widely imitated design, the AC Ace (and its Cobra derivative) could trace its origins back to a one-off sports-racer built by chassis engineer John Tojeiro for Cliff Davis in 1952. The success of Davis' Tojeiro sports-racer prompted AC Cars to acquire the rights to the design, which was put into production in 1954 as the Ace. The Davis car's pretty Ferrari 166 inspired Barchetta bodywork was retained, as was Tojeiro's twin-tube ladder frame chassis and Cooper-influenced all-independent suspension, but the power unit was AC's own venerable, 2.0 litre, long-stroke six. Designed by AC co-founder John Weller, this overhead-camshaft engine had originated in 1919 and with a modest 80bhp (later 100bhp) on tap, endowed the Ace with respectable, if not outstanding, performance. Nevertheless, in tuned form the Ace enjoyed great success in production sports car racing, winning its class at the Le Mans 24 Hour Race in 1959.In 1954 AC added a hardtop version - the fastback-styled Aceca - and both models later became available with the more powerful Bristol engine before production ceased in 1963. Towards the end of production, the Ace was also available with the 2.6 litre overhead-valve Ford Zephyr engine installed. Only 223 cars were delivered with the 2.0 litre AC engine compared with 463 Bristol-engined cars and a further 37 Ford-powered examples.Chassis number ‘AE44’ is one of the earliest production cars, finished by the factory in green body colour, trimmed in beige leather and fitted with the AC six-cylinder engine ‘UMB2102-H’. Supplied as Ex-Works on 31st January 1955 and brokered through Swanmore Garage, Bournemouth to its first custodian Mr. F Richards of Poole, Dorset. The next significant owner was Mr. H.E.M Russel of Danemoor, Malvern. He was the custodian of the car from 1975-1999, during this time it was solely used for gentle road use. Shortly after the car was marketed by The Car Centre in 1999, it passed to the most recent custodian who embarked on a, from the ground up, body-off restoration to the highest standard. Brooklands Motor Cars Ltd were approached to attend to all the chassis work for the motorcar, including local repairs whilst retaining as much of the original framework as possible. The rest of the restoration was kept to the highest standard including a full rebuild of the current engine ‘UMB1219’ by Tyler Motorsports of Kingstone, Hereford. Coachwork, paintwork and the upholstery were undertaken by AC Heritage Works, based at Brooklands. The period livery consists of a black leather interior paired with the period AC racing green. A fitting colour for the Ace as in 2019 it was the 60th anniversary since the AC works team won their class at Le Mans in 1959.We are delighted to present AE44 to the auction, it’s the first time this car has come to the market in two decades. 1985 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Transmission: manualMileage:206000A modern classic by Pininfarina, the simple yet elegant Spider bodywork that premiered on the 1966 Alfa Romeo Duetto would prove enduringly popular, lasting into the 1990’s. All S3 2000 Alfa Romeo’s were produced left hand drive however a select few dealers such as Lombarda and Bell & Colvill used Ellisons of Hull to convert these prior to sale from new, with all UK S3 therefore missing a passenger’s side glovebox. The Pininfarina designed Alfa Romeo offered here was manufactured during 1985 and first registered in the UK on 6th August 1985 in right hand drive guise. Our vendor purchased the car in 2016 as a stalled project and set to work by fitting new outer sills and having the car fully repainted in Alfa Romeo Rosso. Whilst trying to keep as much originality as possible, the seats needed reconditioning and the car was also treated to a Quadrifoglio Verde front spoiler; a preferred option and deemed an improvement on the Series Three Aerodynamica chin spoiler. The vendor reports that mechanically the car is in great shape with recent replacement engine mounts and a rebuilt gearbox by Bob Dove racing just last year. The suspension was also overhauled recently with all bushes and springs being replaced and it also boasts Koni shock absorbers all round, a new servo, starter and radiator. Our vendor has driven the car all over the UK, including trips to Scotland stating ‘It's a great car for circumnavigating lochs and tracking coastlines and is very comfortable and capable over long distances’. The service history, a thick A4 ring binder going back to the mid 80’s, includes many receipts from Alfa Romeo specialists. The folder also contains previous log books and the vast majority of previous MOT's and the Certificato Di Origine from the Alfa Museum which shows the date of manufacture as 12th April 1985. With a current MoT valid until Spetmeber 2022, this is a lovely package combining a capable driving experience with solid provenance and viewing is recommended.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena Transmission: manualMileage:51921The Ferrari 360 was manufactured from 1999 to 2005 and succeeded the F355. It is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, V8 powered coupé and Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to produce an entirely new, all aluminium space-frame chassis that was 40% stiffer than the F355. Along with a lightweight frame, the new Pininfarina body styling deviated from traditions of the previous decade's sharp angles and flip-up headlights. The new V8 engine utilised a 3.6 litre capacity and, despite what looked like, on paper, as modest gains, in reality the power to weight ratio was significantly improved. The first model to be rolled out was the 360 Modena followed later by the 360 Spider and finally, as a special edition, the Challenge Stradale. There were 8,800 Modena's and 7,565 Spiders produced of which, in the UK, only 352 were manual gearbox Modena’s and 478 manual Spiders. This is one of the 352, six-speed manual, Ferrari 360 Modena UK right hand drive cars. Delivered by Maranello Concessionaires in July 2000, it was supplied with sport exhaust, rear challenge grille, yellow brake calipers and Scuderia shields on the wings. This car comes with a very good service history:-26.07.2000 pdi Maranello Ferrari Egham22.06.2001 @ 6,269 miles Carrs Ferrari Exeter Major Service22.07.2002 @ 13,417 miles Carrs Ferrari Exeter Major Service09.09.2004 @ 23,112 miles Graypaul Ferrari Nottingham14.10.2006 @ 27,063 miles Ferrari specialist22.03.2007 @ 30,345 miles Ferrari specialist Major including belts and new clutch27.03.2008 @ 31,891 miles Ferrari specialist18.05.2009 @ 34,276 miles Ferrari specialist08.08.2010 @ 36,497 miles Ferrari specialist including belts07.10.2011 @ 37,730 miles Ferrari specialist05.11.2012 @ 39,690 miles Ferrari specialist05.09.2013 @ 44,850 miles Ferrari specialist06.05.2014 @ 45,320 miles Ferrari specialist including belts17.04.2015 @ 47,972 miles Ferrari specialist29.06.2016 @ 48,488 miles Ferrari specialist22.12.2017 @ 50,490 miles Ferrari specialist21.05.2019 @ 51,166 miles Ferrari specialist GTO Engineering who carried out major service, replaced the cambelts, rebuilt the gearbox, replaced the front upper and lower ball joints and renewed the rear lower ball joints and suspension bushes at a cost of £20,000. 1974 Triumph GT6 Mk. III Transmission: manualMileage:20910A fastback Spitfire powered by the 2000 saloon's two litre, six-cylinder engine, the GT6 arrived in October 1966 with production running until 1973. Like the Spitfire, it inherited what was essentially the Triumph Herald's chassis and running gear which had already proved capable of handling six-cylinder power when developed for the Vitesse saloon. A comfortable ride was considered vital for the all important North American market so the GT6 inherited the Herald/Spitfire's softly sprung rear swing axle although the latter arrangement would be superseded by lower wishbones on the GT6 Mk. II. At the same time the engine received a power boost courtesy of the TR5 cylinder head and 'hotter' camshaft, maximum output increasing from 95 to 104bhp. The restyled, last-of-the-line, Mk. III adopted the contemporary Spitfire's simpler 'swing-spring' rear suspension. Brisk performance (100mph+) and stylish, the GT6 well deserved its 'mini E-Type' sobriquet and today, is one of the most sought after post-war Triumph sports cars with only 13,042 Mk. III examples manufactured.Originally registered on 13th February 1974 this truly unique GT6 has been with the same owner since that date and due to being garaged its entire life and Ziebart treated from new is in stunning original condition throughout having covered only 20,910 miles. The lady owner purchased the car from new after falling out with her estranged husband who had similarly just purchased a new sports car; the purchase was impulsive and, although used initially, the car swiftly became a garage queen. It remained stored inside in a heated dry environment until around 2010 when the son decided to have it recommissioned, obtain an MoT and use it for local shows and days out. Millstream saw to the items required and since then the car has been maintained and on the road with the history file showing MoT certificates and invoices for servicing work. Today the car is possibly the best original GT6 you will find; a true time warp example and we are informed it starts and drives well every time the key turns. A rare sight on UK roads now, this is a genuine investment opportunity to acquire this unique car with low mileage, one owner and in superb condition. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1973 Jensen Healey Transmission: manualMileage:84462The Jensen Healey was designed in a joint venture by Donald Healey and William Towns with Jensen Motors and it was hoped that Healey could help to contribute the sense of style that made the Austin Healey a hit. Jensen looked to Lotus for the power plant as they had a new, untested engine available, thus all Jensen Healey models came equipped with the new 1973cc Lotus 907 engine. This multi-valve engine has a claim to be the first to be used in a 'mass produced' car with a setup producing approximately 144bhp and a top speed of 119mph and accelerating from 0-60mph in just 8.1 seconds. This attractive Jensen has benefitted from a comprehensive restoration and some well thought out enhancements to the body. The car now has a much sleeker front end, a revised and more impressive rear light section and the whole car has been completely resprayed. The photographic history of this is present in the history file. The seats have been upgraded to Cobra Le Mans Heritage reclining seats and the black trim complements the cars bright red paintwork. The striking looks of this Jensen are matched by the impressive history folder that accompanies it. The file contains 22 previous MoT test certificates including the current one which, although this car is exempt by virtue of its age is valid until May 2022. There are also servicing bills which in the last three years total over £11,000 and the V5C registration document, an original owner’s handbook and the manufacturer supplied sales literature. Considering how much fun they are to drive, the recent servicing history and the extremely reasonable estimate, this Jensen offers an opportunity that should not be overlooked.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1979 Ford Capri MK. III 3.0S Transmission: manualMileage:93540Production of the all new Capri was started a few months before its debut at the 1969 Brussels International Motor Show. The early start to production gave the marketing team at Ford the opportunity to leave examples of its new model parked near the entrance to 150 railway stations and outside prominent buildings. The plan obviously worked as initial sales exceeded the predicted demand by 100%. The Capri bridged the gap between a traditional two-seater sports car and the family saloon. This new eye-catching fastback style car was both new in its looks and offered a wide choice of engines ranging from 1.3 litre to a 3.0 litre V6. The Mk. III version was launched in 1978 and with a facelift which included quad headlights and wrap around bumpers that offered a more modern shape and improved dynamics which naturally improved the performance and economy. Although the Ghia model was the best seller of its day, the 3.0S was and is generally regarded amongst enthusiasts as the most desirable model.Originally registered on 1st August 1980, this stunning Capri is finished in the great colour combination of black with period correct Carla cloth interior. Subject to an extensive restoration which included taking care of all the bodywork, interior trim and an engine rebuild. This 3.0S is superb in every way; turn the key and fire up the three litre Essex engine and you are immediately greeted with the familiar sound of this great power plant. We are advised on the road this car drives as good as she looks, the manual gearbox operating smoothly and efficiently through the gears. Supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate valid until 22nd February 2022 together with a substantial history file including receipts for the restoration and engine rebuild. A perfect opportunity to own a British iconic classic, which is expected to appreciate over time.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1961 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Transmission: manualMileage:21500General Motors designer Harley Earl loved sports cars and was influenced by the GI’s bringing home MGs, Jaguars, Alfa Romeo’s and the like after hostilities ceased in Europe in 1945. Even the small independent carmaker, Nash Motors, began selling a two-seater sports car in 1951. Earl convinced GM that they also needed to build a two-seat sports car. Earl and his 'special projects' crew began working on the new car later that year which was code named 'Opel'. The result was the 1953 Corvette, which took its name from a small, manoeuvrable fighting frigate and was unveiled to the public at that year's Motorama Car Show. This superb left hand drive, manual gearbox example is presented in Polo White with silver panels and Sportsman Red interior with chrome five blade wheels and all appear to have been well restored. Upon import, the car was further improved, it was fully resprayed by a company experienced working with fibreglass and at the same time the suspension was updated, it is now fitted with a front suspension clip utilising later Corvette C5 components; this results in a far more modern and enjoyable driving dynamics, however, in the interest of originality the removed suspension set up and wheels are included in the sale. The original dynamo has been fully rewound and reconditioned and the points replaced with a Crane Carns ‘pointless’ system making for easier starting. By 1961, the C1 was at the end of almost 10 years of development and these very late, pre-Stingray, cars are probably the most desirable. It is supplied with a UK V5 registration document and several invoices.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pick-up Transmission: manualMileage:51200The 1948-1953 Chevrolet Series 3100 ½ ton pick-ups benefited from a redesign that took Chevrolet trucks into a new era of comfort, convenience and style. Chevrolets restyled ‘Advance Design’ trucks were introduced in 1947, well ahead of its first new post-war cars and little changed in appearance through 1953. The basic intent was to provide more room and comfort for occupants. These pick-ups had a new bench seat accommodating three people instead of the old separate seats and for the first time the seat was adjustable for longer leg room. The cab, described as ‘Unisteel Battleship’ construction, was larger in every direction. New extra-wide doors swung open on concealed hinges and extended down to cover the sills. The window area grew considerably via a wider windscreen, side windows and backlight, a vast improvement all-round compared to the previous models. This stunning Chevrolet 3100 presents in tremendous condition, having benefitted from an earlier nut and bolt restoration. The paintwork of cream over Candy Red is in good order as is the interior of the truck. Benefitting from a five-speed gearchange with quick shift, we are informed that this handsome piece of Americana is fun to drive. This truck also has a practical side and was at one point used by a local builder as his everyday conveyance. The phrase ‘they don’t build them like they use to’ certainly applies to this ½ ton pick-up. We are informed that the speedometer is currently not working Presented to auction with a V5C registration document. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1977 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Transmission: manualMileage:29464There are many ways to introduce an Alfa Romeo Spider; oblique references to the academy award-winning film ‘The Graduate’ with Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft, its superb engine, its roots tracing back to 1910 and in continuous production, in one form or another since then or the significant element it has contributed to the world’s motor racing history from the Mille Miglia to modern Touring Cars. During 1970, the Giulia 105 series Spider was updated with many improvements from its predecessor including such upgrades as a new drag reducing Kamm tail, bigger brakes and a limited slip differential. All Spider models were offered with, as standard, five-speed gearboxes, disc brakes all around and twin cam engines with four engine options; the 1.3, 1.6, 1.8 and as offered here, the top of the range 2.0 litre model. This Alfa Romeo was originally delivered to South Africa and has recently been imported into the United Kingdom. Following its arrival, a comprehensive recommissioning of the car has been undertaken. Works undertaken have included new brakes, servo, shock absorbers, exhaust pipe and radiator. This mechanical work is complemented by a new set of Michelin tyres. The work has been completed by a knowledgeable enthusiast who tells us that this car is a joy to drive. This right hand drive 5 speed example presents well in dark blue with a black interior and a black mohair roof. We are also told that this rust free example maintains good oil pressure. Offered to auction with a V5c registration document and a new MoT test certificate this Alfa Romeo will surely put a smile on any drivers face.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25 By Hooper Transmission: manualMileage:97610By the late 1920s the trend for ever-heavier coachwork on the Rolls-Royce 20hp had inevitably had a detrimental effect on performance. Rolls-Royce’s solution was to increase the comparatively small six-cylinder engine’s capacity from just over three litres to 3,699cc which, together with a stronger crankshaft allowing increased rpm, raised its output to 25hp. Over the past eight decades the 20/25hp Rolls-Royce has earned an enviable reputation of being among the most dependable, satisfying and highest quality pre-war models of all. Produced from 1929 to 1935, it represented the marque’s determined effort to move away from massive formal cars, routinely chauffeur-driven, to the newly-fashionable owner-driver market for the wealthy private owner-driver. Hooper Ltd earned the name ‘The King of Coachbuilders’, a title rightfully earned in 1830 after being appointed the royal warrant as coachbuilder to King William IV.Ordered new by Mrs. F M Houghton of Harrogate on 6th July 1935, chassis GBJ44, was delivered to Hooper Ltd on 21st August and was fitted with the four-door, sports saloon coachwork that you see today. Offered with its original build sheets and documents dating back to new, the first owner kept the car until 1960 when it was subsequently acquired by David Moncrieff. Acquired by its current vendor more recently, this Rolls-Royce is presented in very good order throughout and we are informed it is running and driving very well indeed. Renowned specialists, Ristes Motor Company have maintained the car on various occasions, with one notable invoice amounting to over £14,000. The exterior is finished in a deep Maroon/Garnet with black wings with a twin gold coachline accentuating the body lines. The grey hide interior is somewhat patinated but beautifully original and the woodwork throughout ‘CGF 298’ presents very well indeed. Offered with a sizeable history file detailing previous maintenance work, a Rolls-Royce owner’s club booklet, sundry invoices, old MoT test certificates and the UK V5 Registration document. If you are a looking for an imminently usable 20/25 in very good order, this example should not be overlooked.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1955 Morris Pick-up Transmission: manualMileage:77379The Morris Minor was a British economy car that made its debut at the Earl’s Court Motor Show in September 1948. Designed under the leadership of Alec Issigonis, over 1.3 million examples were manufactured from 1948 to 1971. Initially available as a two-door saloon and convertible, the range was subsequently expanded to include a four-door saloon in 1950, and a wood-framed estate, the Traveller, plus the panel van and pick-up variants in 1952.This charming Pick-up was registered in 1955 and is presented in silver with a cream interior. This rare early split screen Morris Pick-up has been subject to an extensive restoration and presents very well indeed perhaps better than when new. During the refurbishment, which is photographically detailed in the history file that accompanies this car, the body was stripped and repaired before a full respray. A new canvas cover was made and fitted, with further works including a side exhaust and general servicing. The vendor states the engine starts on the button it pulls well and is leak free. This Pick-up is presented to auction with a V5C registration document and MoT certificate until August 2022.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 2003 Renault Avantime Privilege Transmission: manualMileage:94728The motoring press were truly wowed by Renault's advanced MPV Coupé Concept when unveiled at Paris Salon in 1998. Remarkably true to the original design, the 'Avantime', built by Matra, was a genuine mould-breaker that offered a luxurious glass cabin with ‘Theatre’ seating, pillarless side windows and a full panoramic sliding glass roof. The view of the road was commanding and the performance sufficient to ensure that A & B Roads were navigated swiftly with great poise and grace. Our top-of-the-range V6 Privilege is particularly unusual in that it features an original six-speed manual transmission. Paintwork is a bright metallic ‘Illiad’ blue with silver roof-rails and optioned with the opulent 'Bridge of Weir' leather upholstery. This 'Limited Edition' car Number 336 also boasts factory satellite navigation and the all-important metal plaque in its original presentation box along with certificate, Renault letter and deluxe Design book. The current registered keeper has owned the Avantime for half the cars life with Renault main dealer servicing all the way up until 2017, presenting superbly. Both original keys remain with the car, along with comprehensive history and, we're pledged, a new MoT test certificate and the personalised registration number. Historics are very pleased to offer such a well specified, example and, as with these most eclectic of motorcars, they are gaining popularity and represent an elegant and astute addition to any motoring aficionado’s stable.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1990 Jaguar XJS Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:45228In 1975, the Jaguar E-Type finally gave way to an all new and more efficient Jaguar, the Jaguar XJS. This new luxury grand tourer, although never quite having the same sporting image as the E-Type, was actually more aerodynamic with the final example leaving the production line on 4th April 1996; at that stage 115,413 units had been manufactured during a 21 year production life. Power came from the Jaguar V12 engine with a choice of a manual or automatic transmission although the manual gearbox was soon dropped. V12 engine cars were unusual at the time with notable exceptions coming from Italian luxury sports car makers Lamborghini and Ferrari. The specifications of the XJS compared well with both Italian cars; it was able to accelerate to 60mph in 7.6 seconds and had a top speed of 143mph.This Jaguar was originally registered on 22nd March 1990 and presents in delightful condition. The Signal Red coachwork is unmarked as is the Magnolia interior. Having covered only 45,228 miles from new and with a good service history, it is clear that this has been a very well cared for motor vehicle. Recent servicing has been thorough with no expense spared and has included inner and outer track rod ends, track rod boot covers, a new rotor arm, a new window motor, four new rear springs, four new tyres and a full service, a new distributor cap, high performance ignition leads and spark plugs, a new battery and the air conditioning has been re-gassed. Turn the key and the V12 engine started immediately. Following the recent expenditure, we are advised the car drives with no known faults and the electric hood works exactly as it should. Supplied with a V5C registration document, a full years MoT test certificate and the original service books. XJS Convertibles have been increasing in value of late, a low ownership example such as this, together with low mileage and in fabulous condition makes this a highly desirable Jaguar.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1968 MG C Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:73000The MGC was the first 'high performance' version of the MGB. From early, in the design stages of the MGB, there was an intention to create high performance variants, using a range of Vee engines that did not make it to production. The MGC was much more than a tuned MGB, in fact it was a completely re-engineered car, but retained many visual connections to the MGB. On the outside, the MGC was often mistaken for an MGB as the only visual difference was the heavily bulged bonnet with a transverse chrome strip that accentuated the bulges, and the standard use of 15” wheels instead of the 14” used on the MGB. Inside, there were very few differences between the B and C, other than the 140mph speedometer and tachometer with a yellow and red banding, set against lower RPM than the MGB.Built in Abingdon Oxfordshire, this sporting version of the MGC presents well in the classic colour combination of Old English White with a contrasting red interior. The car was kept in storage for 20 years and has recently benefitted from some recommissioning. The DVLA record for this pleasant roadster shows only two previous owners with the most recent being since March 1987. Offered to auction with a V5C registration certificate, and in spite of its exempt status, an MoT test certificate valid until June 2022; this sports car is described by the vendor as tremendous fun and is ready to be enjoyed immediately. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
1963 MG B Roadster Transmission: manualMileage:98728Conceived in the late 1950s and launched in 1962, the MGB would turn out to be one of the most successful sports cars of all time. Attractively styled, cheap to run and easily maintained by the home mechanic, the 'B' carried on MG's traditional role of providing affordable, sports car motoring for the ordinary enthusiast. The MGB was mechanically similar to the preceding MGA, though with a heavier, unitary construction bodyshell. To compensate for the newcomer's increased weight the existing B-Series engine was stretched from 1,622 to 1,798cc, while the MGB's aerodynamically efficient lines made the most of the maximum available 95bhp to achieve a top speed which just bested the magic 'ton'. A 'right first time' design that changed little over the years apart from the adoption of a more robust five-main-bearing engine in 1965 (fitted from the start of GT production that autumn) a minor facelift for 1970 and the adoption of plastic bumpers (to comply with US legislation) for 1975, the 'B' enjoyed an 18 year production life and sales totalling in excess of 500,000 cars. Its popularity remaining undiminished today, the classic MGB is one of the easiest sports cars of its era to run and maintain in the 21st Century, being served by a worldwide industry of spare parts and service providers.Registered on 1st February 1963, this MGB was previously treated to an extensive restoration in 1990 and has more recently been sat unused in our vendors garage. Presented in white over a red leather interior, this MG is offered in need of further renovation work although we are told the engine turns and the body is solid. Presented with a soft top, tonneau cover, UK V5C registration document and offered to auction without reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1990 Range Rover Vogue SE Transmission: manualMileage:135801The first-generation Range Rover was produced between 1970 and 1996. The original car was not designed as a luxury-type 4x4; while certainly up-market compared to preceding Land Rover models, the early Range Rovers had fairly basic, utilitarian interiors with vinyl seats and plastic dashboards designed to be washed down with a hose. Features such as power assisted steering, carpeted floors, air conditioning, cloth/leather seats and wooden interior trim were fitted later. The Range Rover was a body-on-frame design with a box section ladder type chassis, similar to contemporary Land Rovers. The Range Rover utilised coil springs as opposed to leaf springs, permanent four-wheel drive and four-wheel disc brakes and was originally powered by the Rover V8 engine. This Range Rover Vogue SE was registered in May 1990 and at the time was the top of the range flagship 4.0 litre V8 car for the world-famous Midlands manufacturer. Presented in Epsom Green with a beige leather interior, this example has been owned by our vendor since 2018 and it has been MoT’d (with the exception of COVID affected 2020) continuously for the last decade. Purchased as a light project, our vendor has replaced the headlining and sunroof, fulfilled some necessary welding and sourced a new tailgate along with any mechanical maintenance that was required. The motivation was for an ideal car to use on the weekends for shooting and take friends to motoring events such as Goodwood. Still boasting the original leather and trimmings and the three spoke body-coloured wheels, this car would clearly benefit from a re-paint but otherwise would make an ideal and frankly ultra-cool piece of 90’s nostalgia. Offered with a history file with numerous previous MoT test certificates, some invoices and a UK V5 registration document coupled to the current MoT certificate valid until March 2022, this relatively low owner example, just six former keepers, is perfect for anyone who is happy to carry on the cosmetic work and that appreciates the golden age of Range Rover opulence.Guide Price £4,000 - £7,000 Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
2004 Mercedes-Benz Vito 115 CDi LWB Camper Transmission: manualMileage:186181 The Vito is a minivan produced by Mercedes-Benz and was available as a standard panel van for cargo called Vito, or with passenger accommodations substituted for part or all of the load area called V-Class or Viano. The first generation went on sale in 1996 and the second generation was introduced in 2004. Available in both rear and four-wheel drive configurations and three lengths, two wheelbases and a choice of four petrol and diesel engines (as well as two specialist tuned models) coupled to either a six-speed manual or five-speed TouchShift automatic transmission.Originally registered in July of 2004 and with just four former keepers, this very presentable example is finished in silver with complementary grey trim and a five-speed TouchShift automatic gearbox. Originally a Vito long wheelbase van, it was professionally converted by the previous owner to be the ideal day tripper. The original manuals for the conversion are in the history file and are complemented by various Mercedes-Benz invoices and MoT test certificates. A full kitchen unit with twin cooker hob and gas bottle, a fridge, a sink with running water and waste, LED down lights and mains plugs with a mains hook-up, a rock and roll bed, ample storage, solar panels which can provide power when the batteries not in use and a tow bar make this a very practical yet understated camper. The air conditioning condenser has been changed and re-gassed, a recent service has been performed for which the invoice can be found within the history file and with two keys all add to what is a very attractive proposition for weekends away or days at the seaside. Viewing is highly recommended for this camper offered without reserve.Guide Price £9,000 - £14,000Interested parties should note that although currently MoT’d the vendor would like to provide the new owner with a new MoT which is scheduled post auction, any successful bidder can then collect the vehicle with a fresh MoT from Historics HQ shortly after the sale.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1963 Triumph Herald 12/50 Transmission: manualMileage:36688Standard-Triumph launched the Herald in 1959 as a replacement for its ageing Standard 8/10 models. It bucked the trend towards monocoque construction by featuring a separate chassis to which the main tub was bolted. The one-piece front end folded forwards to provide optimum access to the engine and suspension, while all outer panels, including the roof, could be unbolted for easy repair. The design made for the ready adoption of alternative body styles and saloon, coupé, convertible, estate and van derivatives were all offered during the models 12-year reign with production numbers exceeding 300,000.Presented in British Racing Green and having been owned by our vendor since 1992, this lovely privately owned example was fully restored between 1993 and 1999 and the history file contains all the details and photos of the ground-up restoration, beginning with a new chassis in 1993. Starley Garage, Brighton (grandson of the original Star Motor Company, Wolverhampton 1898-1932) performed the majority of the restoration culminating in a total body respray. We are informed the car is always garaged and has covered only 4,000 miles since the initial restoration and is regularly used on sunny days and fully maintained with no expense spared. Described as mechanically extremely sound with a new blueprint Rimmer Bros engine fitted in July 2002 and with only 3,300 miles completed since, multiple upgrades carried out at this point included electric cooling fan, halogen conversion headlights, heater overhaul, replacement gearbox, differential overhaul, new twin carburettors and fittings and twin stainless steel exhaust system. Boasting a full Webasto sunroof, all internal seats and black carpeting are in excellent condition with the addition of new door and window rubber seals. The respray is now over twenty years old and the paintwork requires some attention but that is reflected in the guide price. A full list of all purchased items, continuing maintenance items and upgraded, fuel, brake and engine hoses are included. The car has excellent tyres and spare. This is an affordable, practical everyday classic, running on unleaded fuel and is easily able to keep up with today’s traffic conditions.Guide Price £4,000 - £6,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 2000 Nissan Silvia Varietta Transmission: automaticMileage:114600The S15 versions of the Silvia boasted 247bhp from its inline-four engine, thanks to a turbocharger upgrade and engine management system while the non-turbo SR20DE produced 163bhp. The body dimensions were reduced from the previous generation so that it would comply with Japanese Government compact class. The model line-up was initially simplified to just the Spec-S and Spec-R, both models offering an ‘Aero’ variant with a large rear wing and side skirts/valances. This generation of the Silvia was only sold in Japan, Australia and New Zealand but was available as a grey import in most other countries. In Japan, Nissan offered a retractable hardtop variant of the Silvia, called the Varietta. The Varietta was built by Autech,a subsidiary of Nissan, and was based on the Spec-S model, featuring the same naturally aspirated engine, with a choice of the five-speed manual transmission or the four-speed automatic transmission. This is a rare type of Nissan Silvia which is uncommon in most places as only 1143 cars were produced. This example, presented in metallic blue, is one of the very few Varietta examples that can be found on these shores.and was imported by our vendor for his wife incidentally also named Silvia in 2016. With one lady owner since import and a record of all maintenance, this S15 also has a heads-up display which provides the speed in mph. This two-litre automatic example comes with the SYL cherished number plate and boasts leather trim with heated seats and is described as in good condition throughout. With an agreed insurance value of £9,500 this is a rare and interesting sports car offered without reserve. Guide Price £4,500 - £6,500Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2002 Rover 75 Connoisseur SE Transmission: manualMileage:89600The Rover 75 was manufactured by Rover Group and later by MG Rover. The Rover 75 was available with front wheel drive in either a saloon or estate body style and latterly, in long wheelbase form and a rear wheel drive, V8 engined specification. Rover 75’s were built at Cowley, Oxfordshire, for just a year when the owners at the time, BMW, divested its interests in Rover and the 75 was built by the new MG Rover Group at their Longbridge site in Birmingham. Production of the Rover and later MG badged models ceased on 8th April 2005 when manufacturer MG Rover Group entered administration. This 2.5 litre V6 Rover 75 Connoisseur SE is presented in gleaming red coachwork with contrasting black trim and is described by our vendor as being in fabulous condition inside and out and an absolute joy to own. The car has had just three former keepers and has been with the current owner since 2006. It boasts a full service history, the last in September 2020, and having only covered circa 4,500 miles a year has been very well maintained and used regularly. A very well specified top of the range Connoisseur SE example supplied with the original handbooks together with a UK V5C registration document and a tow bar, this is a car that can be great fun to use or to keep as a potential future classic.Guide Price £4,000 - £6,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 2005 Mini Cooper S Works Transmission: manualMileage:23202The names Cooper and Cooper S are the names used for the sportier version of the classic Mini, which in turn come from the involvement of John Cooper and the Cooper Car Company. The Cooper heritage is further emphasised with the John Cooper Works (JCW) range of tuning options. The John Cooper Works company also created a higher specification model of the Mini Cooper S, the Mini Cooper S Works. It has a higher volume exhaust and air filter, and uprated brakes and suspension, and different 17” wheels from the S models. This striking Mini Cooper S was prepared and customised prior to delivery by the legendary F1 winning John Cooper garage. It is one of the few prepared by them over a six-month period prior to the model being launched as a factory option. The impressive list of options were commissioned by the owner at a cost in excess of £12,000 and include carbon fibre spoiler, boot handle, handbrake and steering wheel inserts. We are told that this automatic Mini is tremendous fun with its upgraded suspension and engine tuning and responds well to the paddle shift gear change. Perhaps more importantly we are told she also stops well with the addition of an upgraded big brake kit. With the combination of a custom paint finish an exclusive interior, one owner and particularly low mileage, this Cooper S offers an extremely rare opportunity for any prospective buyer. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and a valid MoT test certificate, viewing is highly recommended.
