A Chinese huanghuali and bone panel, late 19th/early 20th century, carved in relief with birds perched on blossoming branches, 19cm x 63cm and a Chinese wood and mother-of-pearl inlaid panel, decorated with a vase of flowers, 59.5cm x 16cm (2). Provenance: acquired by the current vendor’s grandfather who became a teaching missionary in Amoy, China in 1906. This lot was brought back to Britain in 1941 when his widow was repatriated.
