Each bird set with eleven small rose diamonds in silver and gold and with three small untested pearls, approx. 36mm long overall, 3.9g gross. Together with leather covered box marked 'Dibdin & Co. Ltd, 189 Sloane Street, S.W.1'Note; Sold with a copy of an insurance certificate dated 24th October 2015 for £975. Condition Report: Overall good condition for age, a very small 'ding' to the silver wing border of one of the wings, otherwise no signs of mis-use. Diamonds bright for rose cuts, pearls untested but lustrous white colour.

An early 20th century pearl necklace on an Art Deco sapphire and diamond oval cluster clasp. The 92 round pearls graduated approx. 6-3mm to 3.7mm diameter, knotted on an oval clasp centred with an oval/slightly cushion shaped sapphire, approx. 1.05cts, millegrain set within an old-cut and eight-cut diamond 14 stone surround, the necklace approx. 47cm long overall (18 1/2 inches), 12.4g gross. Condition Report: We have examined a random sample of approx 20 of the pearls in this lot and determined they are natural, Prospective buyers should satisfy themselves prior to bidding on this lot as to the origin of the pearls in this necklace. A Victorian black onyx, enamel and half-pearl oval mourning brooch and earring set. Each set with a central oval cabochon black onyx decorated with a central half-pearl star motif, and with similar half-pearl and enamel borders, the brooch approx. 40mm x 31mm overall, 12.9g gross, the earrings 21.5mm high (excluding the small bale), 17mm wide, the pair weigh 9.3g gross.Note; The back of each item appears to be tarnished gilt metal however the pearls appear to be mounted in gold, please satisfy yourself before bidding on this lot. Condition Report: Overal very good and honest (dare I say it excellent?) condition for their age. All the pearls in good condition and a good lustrous white/very light cream colour. Mounts all good, no cracks, chips or obvious damage, scratches or chips. Please see the catalogue description regarding the metal, the backs all tarnished and would benefit from a sympathetic clean.
A Chinese export gold, jadeite and cultured-pearl butterfly brooch. With engraved and shaped jadeite wings, and an alternate round cabochon jadeite and cultured-pearl head and body, the mounts with Chinese character marks, approx. 49mm wide overall, 6g gross. Later base metal safety chain. Note; Sold with a copy of an insurance certificate dated 24th October 2015 for £800. Condition Report: Overall good condition, general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. Jadeite wings without any cracks or noticeable damage. There are a few fold-over triangular setting 'stays' missing notably to the top of the right and left wings near the near the body (visible in the picture). The cultured-pearls are fully drilled.
