An Edwardian turquoise matrix and seed pearl bracelet, c.1910, a series of graduated oval turquoise matrix cabochons, each one rub set in a plain collet, all joined by pairs of seed pearls on gold wire links. Tested as approximately 9ct gold CONDITION REPORT: Modern replacement bolt ring clasp, in working order. 188mm in length. Links appear in good order, slightly dirty under the pearls. No obvious damage.
A French figure of eight link bracelet set with split pearls, c.1900, the milled figure of eight shaped links, each rub set with a split pearl, and joined by pairs of polished oval jump rings, to a concealed box clasp and safety chain. French export marks CONDITION REPORT: 180mm in length. Good original colour and bloomed finish. Slight tarnish to the end link next to the tongue and the 5th link. All pearls intact, well matched with no damage to the nacre.
A cased Edwardian split pearl ivy leaf gold brooch pendant, the brooch pendant with a central star flower to an outer row of ivy leaves, all set with split pearls in shades of white and grey to a detachable bale and brooch pin, marked 15, the case by Edward & Sons, Glasgow, together with an Edwardian turquoise set gold crescent brooch, an early Victorian split pearl and turquoise set memorial brooch, an 18ct gold Edwardian turquoise and split pearl ring, and a fly brooch (5)
A Belle Époque aquamarine pearl and diamond pendant, c.1915, a circular mixed cut aquamarine claw set to a shallow scalloped collet, with a seed pearl peg set to each cardinal point. Blade edge bars to each side, with rose cut diamond set laurel leaves to a fetter link chain. A laurel bough below, milligrain set with rose cut diamonds to an articulated offset square aquamarine, with a kite shaped aquamarine articulated below that CONDITION REPORT: Tarnished. Some crown facet edge wear to the aquamarines, visible under 10x magnification. Claws to the square aquamarine require attention. The collets and under bezels test as 15ct gold. The blade edge bards and boughs are 15ct gold, faced with platinum. Chain tested as platinum. Hair line crack to one bouton pearl (near the drill hole).
An Asian bi pendant, composed of a jadeite bi, 25.7mm diameter, held in a flat section plain gold band. Suspended from an elongated oval jade cabochon, rub set to a plain frame in a horizontal position, below a series of gold jump rings. Accompanied by a report from The Gem and Pearl Laboratory dated 04.10.13, No. 08669, stating that the bi is jadeite jade with no evidence of treatment. CONDITION REPORT: Mount testing as approximately 14ct gold. Additional links (jump rings) at the top are of a higher carat. The bi turns in the gold mount, so looks slightly different each time it is photographed, revealing sections of the jade, previously covered by the mount. Jump rings open at some points. Nice polish.
A pearl and diamond gold stick pin, c.1910, the slightly drop shaped pearl, untested, peg set above an old European cut diamond, to a plain pin. Case by Charles Packer & Co. Ltd., 76 and 78 Regent St., London CONDITION REPORT: Pearl approximately 8.1 x 7.4 x 6.53mm. Light cream body colour. Pink and green overtones. Good lustre.
A cased set of six diamond and mother-of-pearl dress studs, attributed to Tiffany & Co, six mother-of-pearl buttons, each with an old Swiss cut diamond, milligrain set to the centre, with two concentric bands of white and gold dot enamel to plain gold backs. All marked 18, unsigned. Case by Tiffany & Co., 221 Regent St., London (6) CONDITION REPORT: All the buttons require cleaning. Under 10x magnification, there are minor imperfections to the surface of the enamel, small nibbles and flakes, but not noticeable to the naked eye.
A two row graduated natural pearl necklace, two rows of graduated natural pearls, one row consisting of 79 pearls, 3.9-6.6mm in size, the other of 77 pearls, 3-5.9mm in size, strung knotted to a two row waisted safety clasp, with a rose cut diamond milligrain set to the centre, one row thread broken. A case by W E Bedford, 132 Aldersgate St., London EC1. The pearls are slightly too short to sit correctly in the case. Accompanied by a Pearl Report from the Gem and Pearl Laboratory dated 05/06/2012, no. 05859, stating that all pearls were found to be natural saltwater. 21.84g CONDITION REPORT: The largest pearl has a diameter of 6.7 by two different gauges used at Sworders.
A single row graduated natural pearl necklace with a French Art Deco diamond set clasp, a single row of seventy-five graduated natural pearls, 5.1-10.1mm in size, strung knotted to a single row Art Deco diamond set box clasp. The stepped rectangular geometric clasp, with a baguette cut diamond rub set to the centre, with lines of grain set old European and eight cut diamonds. Remnants of an unidentified signature at two separate points on the clasp. French poinçons for platinum, the tongue bearing French poinçon for white gold. Accompanied by a typed list in French of 129 pearls, taped to the inside of the lid of the box and dated 19th of May 1947, listing the individual grain weights of certain pearls along with total weights for all the pearls of that weight. Also accompanied by a pearl report from the Gem and Pearl Laboratory No. 08541 dated 10 September 2013, stating that all 75 pearls were found to be natural saltwater. CONDITION REPORT: 33.91g. Shape - round/semi-round. Colour - very light cream/white. Lustre - medium/good, slightly varies. Skins - the majority are smooth with occasional pimples or dimples. Overtones - rose and green.
A two row natural pearl and cultured pearl necklace with an Art Deco diamond and sapphire cluster clasp, the two graduated rows of 57 and 55 pearls, 4.7-8.4mm in size, strung knotted to a two row cushion cut diamond box clasp with 17 pearls identified as cultured and 95 identified as being natural. The cushion cut diamond, estimated as approximately 2.98ct, milligrain set in white, with a calibré surround of square cut sapphires, channel set to a yellow gold box clasp. A seed pearl set safety chain fitted. Case by Cooke & Kelvey, Calcutta, Delhi, Simla and Lahore. Accompanied by a pearl report from the Gem and Pearl Laboratory, No. 08542, dated 10 September 2013, stating that there are a total of 57 and 55 pearls. 17 were found to be cultured; the remaining 95 were found to be natural saltwater. 40.90 grammes. Diamond assessed as approximately: Colour: I/J Clarity: SI2/P1 CONDITION REPORT: See additional images (the colour of the pearls is not accurate on the website, so additional images are without a flash). Shape - round/semi-round. Colour - dark cream/very pale straw. Lustre - good/very good. Skins - some blemishes, some of the larger pearls with a grainy/hammered appearance under 10x magnification. Overtones - mostly green, some rose.
A seed pearl and enamel torsade and earring suite, the multiple row seed pearl torsade, with two flat section band rondelles, with white enamel bands to a green guilloché ground. Matching enamelled end caps to a bolt ring clasp, together with a pair of seed pearl tassel earrings, with fluted green and white guilloché enamel caps and hook wire fittings (3) CONDITION REPORT: Some losses to the enamel on the end caps, and earring caps. Torsade 1060mm in length. One row broken, requires re-stringing. Earrings also require re-stringing. Some pearls deficient to the tassles.

A ten row cultured freshwater pearl and diamond torsade necklace, the clasp/centrepiece composed of two fluted fan shapes, with a continuous band of brilliant cut diamonds between. A concealed hook style safety clasp to a pair of fluted end caps. The pearls strung plain, with scattered gold beads to another pair of fluted caps at the halfway point. CONDITION REPORT: The clasp and end caps test as 18ct gold, the beads as 9ct gold.
