An early Victorian rosewood and mother of pearl inlaid travelling case or vanity box, the hinged lid centred with twin stylised birds enclosing a hinged upper section and main section with lift out tray revealing a jewellery compartment and with further drawer to the base, height 16cm, width 27.5cm, depth 22.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are three splits to the top, small flecks of veneer missing, a few dents and surface scratches, the interior requires some attention.

Four variously hallmarked silver items comprising a jockey's cap shaped caddy spoon with vacant cartouche, Francis Howard, Sheffield 1981, a thimble, Charles Horner, Chester 1917, size 7, in mother of pearl and tortoiseshell case, a scallop moulded slide napkin clip, maker's initials CP, London 2000 and a mother of pearl bodied pen knife, Harrison Bros, Sheffield 1895, weighable approx 0.76ozt (4). CONDITION REPORT: The caddy spoon and napkin clip both appear to be in good condition. The thimble with areas of tarnishing to the incised parts, with hole to the top, the case with surface wear and areas of crude regluing, areas of chips. The knife in good condition with scratches to the blade and minor areas of tarnish, minor surface wear and dirt.
ADIE & LOVEKIN; a George V hallmarked silver bladed mother of pearl handled trowel bookmark, Birmingham 1925, length 7.5cm, a Crisford & Norris knife shaped example for American market, a chatelaine hand mirror, Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1910, and an envelope shaped stamp case (4). CONDITION REPORT: The trowel bookmark with heavily misshapen blade, the knife example with slightly rubbed marks, the envelope case appears in good condition. The mirror has surface wear, some dirt and rubbing and with slightly misshapen inside rim and frame, with areas of dints and tarnish, residue of cleaning products.
An early Victorian coromandel and mother of pearl inlaid tea caddy of sarcophagus form, the hinged lid enclosing two dome coromandel lidded tea boxes with central reservoir set with associated bowl, ring loop carrying handles and turned bun feet, height 22cm, width 35cm, depth 20cm. CONDITION REPORT: Retains a good colour throughout, some tiny areas of loss to the mother of pearl and light surface scratches and knocks to the edges but overall a good example.
A Victorian hallmarked silver mother of pearl handled rattle surmounted with a whistle above knopped foliate and floral embossed body suspending four bells, with suspension ring, apparently no maker's mark, Birmingham 1872, length 11.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Rubbing throughout, particularly to the upper section where there are also some splits along possible seam in central section of the upper knob. Slight bending in the area of the whistle aperture and rubbing to the mouthpiece which is also slightly out of axis due to minor bending to the stem. The handle possibly re-attached but appears original with some natural stained splits and some dints with dirt. Otherwise, generally in good condition.
