The ivory banding to both ends is mostly lacking and pieces missing to front also. All feet with rotting woodwork and missing segments. Some inlay lifting. Plush lined interior stained and lifting in places. The arrangement of fruit and flowers to the cover very tired. Signs of old worm to base wood, particularly around the legs and base.

Natural pearl necklace with a string of 76 graduated natural saltwater pearls and eight cultured pearls, the pearls graduating from 7.1-7.2mm to 3.6mm, with a diamond clasp, the old cut cushion shape stone estimated to weigh approximately 0.70cts in closed-back silver collet setting on gold. Accompanied by a Pearl Report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory dated 23rd December 2022.The necklace is from a local private vendor who has owned the necklace for many years. We had the pearls examined and commissioned the report. The report states that the pearls are natural saltwater pearls with the exception of eight cultured pearls identified with a black dot (1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 15th from catch end, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 5th from the tongue end). The largest pearl measures approximately 7.1-7.2mm and graduate to 3.6mm. The length of the necklace is approximately 49cm. Weight of the item is 18.92 grams.
