An Ottoman mother-of-pearl inlaid chest with ivory banding, the hinged cover with glazed compartment under, 54cm wide/Provenance: The Estate of the late Diana & Gospatric Home, Lily Farm, Bucks/Ivory registration reference: Q679N4ND CONDITION REPORT: There are several mother-of-pearl squares and triangles missing and the arch top sides have several condition issues including rotting wood and missing segments. The ivory banding to both ends is mostly lacking and pieces missing to front also. All feet with rotting woodwork and missing segments. Some inlay lifting. Plush lined interior stained and lifting in places. The arrangement of fruit and flowers to the cover very tired. Signs of old worm to base wood, particularly around the legs and base.

A garniture of Chinese blue and white porcelain vases, late 19th century, each decorated with dragons chasing a flaming pearl amongst stylised clouds, character marks, 36cm and 31.5cm high (3)One sleeve has three rim chips. The baluster vase has a repair, a hairline and a tiny chip on the rim.
Natural pearl necklace with a string of 76 graduated natural saltwater pearls and eight cultured pearls, the pearls graduating from 7.1-7.2mm to 3.6mm, with a diamond clasp, the old cut cushion shape stone estimated to weigh approximately 0.70cts in closed-back silver collet setting on gold. Accompanied by a Pearl Report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory dated 23rd December 2022.The necklace is from a local private vendor who has owned the necklace for many years. We had the pearls examined and commissioned the report. The report states that the pearls are natural saltwater pearls with the exception of eight cultured pearls identified with a black dot (1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 15th from catch end, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 5th from the tongue end). The largest pearl measures approximately 7.1-7.2mm and graduate to 3.6mm. The length of the necklace is approximately 49cm. Weight of the item is 18.92 grams.
