Rubbing to the framing edges with some associated loss. Light surface dirt throughout. The most significant losses are visible to the lady wearing 'coral' red beaded necklace and small portrait of a lady wearing a pearl necklace and earring in black frame. A Moorish mahogany armchair,late 19th century, with a bobbin-turned back and sides, with an arched backrest, richly inlaid with mother-of-pearl, raised on turned and carved supports, joined by a 'T' shaped stretcher, with an oxblood-coloured leather seat, impressed with an octofoil motif,51cm wide59cm deep83cm high, seat 42cm highCondition report: WIth losses to the mother of pearl inlays. The seat has been somewhat worn down. WIth scratches, rubbings, and wear throughout the frame. The underneath of the stretcher with repair (see image).
