A 19th century Chinese rosewood chair with rouge marble seat and back panel and mother of pearl inlaid floral decoration, height 93cm (af).Additional InformationThe back marble panel has been broken into numerous pieces and part is glued back together but there is still an opening in parts with pieces missing.  The top stretcher of the chair looks to have been broken off and reattached to the main body of the chair. The joints are slightly wobbly/loose, one of the stretchers at the bottom is opening slightly - please see additional images.

There is a natural crack/flaw through the back of the shell in two areas and otherwise general surface wear.

A late 19th century tortoiseshell sewing box with mother of pearl inlay, the hinged cover enclosing ivory compartments, height 6.5cm, two tortoiseshell dressing table clocks, etc (6).Additional InformationThe larger of the clocks has an old repair to the left leg, the smaller clock with numerous chips to the underside of the tortoise shell, the sewing box is missing part of the ivory interior, the faux tortoise shell box with dents, minor water damage to the underside.

A large and impressive Chinese carved jade table screen, the central oval white jade panel depicting two four clawed dragons chasing the Pearl of Wisdom in a pierced hardwood frame, the plaque 36 x 25cm, the frame 42 x 51cm.Additional InformationFrom a local private family where it has been for many years. The plaque itself is in good order, with just some dirt as you would expect in the crevices. The frame is slightly coming away die to the weight of the plaque, would just require readdressing and tightening. The likely date of this screen is c.1900.

A late George III mahogany candle box of tapering rectangular form, height 48cm, a rustic elm seated small stool, width 24cm, a papier mache gilt heightened floral decorated mother of pearl inlaid cake stand with swing loop handle, diameter 27cm, a simple oak candle box, a mahogany chevron strung two division tea canister and a mahogany stationery box with folding lid (6).Additional InformationSections of repair to the tea caddy, a large stain to the top, some of the inlay is missing. The papier mache cake stand has a couple of losses, heavy surface wear and scratches. The elm stool has a tiny split to the top, stud decoration beneath the seat. The mahogany candle box has a section repaired to the back, also a chip lower left, hinges are replaced and the mahogany stationery cabinet is made from something else, it has what should be a tambor section which is now hinged half way to act as the flap.

A Victorian coromandel rectangular dressing box with vacant mother of pearl cartouche with hinged lid and fitted interior containing clear glass and silver plate mounted dressing set with further fitted jewellery drawer to lower section, height 18cm, width 28.5cm, depth 21.5cm (af).Additional InformationThe front lock plate has been lost, further significant loss to the veneer on the right section with further splits in numerous places, further scuffs, scrapes, scratches particularly to corners and edges, some rubbing and tarnish to the silver plate mounts, general wear to the bottles and jars, some small chips, fritting and nibbles. Interior generally tired, build up of dirt and dust particularly to the velvet lining in the jewellery drawer.  The interior of the upper section has damage to the lid interior, front section where it meets the lock plate of the body, this part has three exposed screws which are also loose. The box will need some attention and restoration.

Some wear to the Stevengraph.

PEARL; a reproduction longcase clock, the gilt dial set with Arabic numerals and subsidiary moon phase, height of case 197cm.Additional InformationComplete with pendulum and weights, we are unable to tell if the clock is working as we have not wound the movement up. Minimal wear to the case, the side panels are a little bit pushed in.

A Japanese Meiji period carved ivory okimono modelled as a warrior blowing into a conch shell with a sword upon his back, signed with mother of pearl plaque to base, height 15cm, and a further ivory okimono of a figure with toads, signed to mother of pearl plaque to base, height 70.5cm (2).Additional InformationThe conch shell figure is slightly loose to the base, there are a few natural striations to the ivory but overall in good condition. The toad figure has areas of damage around the base so his feet have been broken through and crudely glued, this has also damaged the lower toad and section of  which his foot is upon which was once a serpent. Some stains, cracks to the base and some natural striations to the ivory throughout.
