A group of Chinese blue and white, largely 18th century, variously decorated, comprising: a Chinese octagonal dish, painted with precious objects on a table with natural rock base, 36.3cm diameter, a Chinese circular dish, painted with a lady collecting flowers with an assistant holding a basket, 36.3cm diameter, a large Chinese circular dish, painted with two 'window' panels against peony, 43.2cm diameter, a large Chinese circular deep dish, with building on islands, 40cm diameter, a Chinese 'Dragon dish', painted with two dragons chasing a flaming pearl on a shaded blue ground, 28.4cm diameter and a Chinese blue and white dish, with two figures in or by a pavilion, the border with the central pattern repeated alternating with flowers, 34.7cm diameter (6) Provenance: Hambrook House, Gloucestershire The Property of Graeme Alexander and Scott Carlton
A 9ct yellow gold and banded agate lozenge mourning brooch, approx 50 x 30mm together with another 19th century, yellow-metal gold black agate and pearl mourning brooch engraved to verso dated 1839 approx 40 x 35mm (af), gross weight approx 22 gms. (tested) together with an antique garnet locket pendant, the pendant set with a central cabochon garnet approx 20 x 18mm, approx 11.8 gms.
A Victorian brass and mother of pearl embellished half tester bedstead, attributed to James Shoolbred of Tottenham Court Road, London, stamped to the base of legs "369", and to the reverse of the mother of pearl roundels "RD 103218" CONDITION REPORTS Brass lacquer is pitting, rusting and has flaking in various places. There are areas of mother of pearl missing. Knicks and dents etc throughout. Some of the brass has splits, others have areas it has completely gone through and they are loose to the frame. Some screws etc missing. The headboard rail is missing a knob to one section. Wear and tear conducive with age and use to include surface scratches, knocks, bumps, dents, minor losses throughout - see images for further details. Age is late 19th Century. A collection of ornamental ivory and other wares to include ivory chicken, Chinese style carved mother-of-pearl notepad, jade figure of a pheasant, celadon glazed style dish stamped "Made in Japan" etc CONDITION REPORTS The rooster has surface scratches, accretions, etc, discoluration to one side. One of the roosters toes is missing, also both of the spurs are missing. There is what appears to be some glue on one side of the rooster's neck. There appears to be old repairs to both of the rooster's hackles and the end of the sickle feather is missing. Old repair to both legs where they meet the body. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.
