A CHINESE YELLOW EMBROIDERED SILK 'DRAGON' ROBE The yellow silk ground worked in satin stitch and couched gold coloured thread with nine five-clawed dragons, each with a pearl, amongst clouds, bats and twelve imperial symbols, above shaded crashing waves, the collar and cuffs with further dragons, above waves 132cm long, 198cm wide sleeve to sleeve, 109cm wide at hem Condition: The silk embroidery colours have muted and browned. The colours to the interior section bright. Light wear around the neck. Some small pulled threads in places. Some staining to the lower borders. Provenance: Acquired in the US in the 1990s

Das Stichblatt mit Eichenkranzmedaillon mit Liktorenbündel, Pfeilen und Bogen, umgeben von Füllhörnern. Auf der Rückseite des vorderseitigen Stichblatts Stahlfedermechanismus zum Abklappen. Gekehlte Rückenklinge zu zwei Dritteln gebläut und mit feinem, teilweise vergoldetem Ätzdekor. Auf der vorderseitigen Fehlschärfe unleserliche Herstellersignatur. Im unteren Viertel der Klinge gereinigte Korrossonsspuren. Scheide aus feuervergoldeter Bronze mit fein graviertem und ziselierten Arabeskendekor. Prächtiger und wunderschön gearbeiteter Degen eines hohen Würdenträgers aus der Zeit des französischen Konsulats (1799-1804) oder Premier Empire (1804-1815). Engraved mother-of-pearl grip scales. The guard with oak wreath medallion with lictor bundle, arrows and bow surrounded by cornucopias. Steel spring mechanism for folding on the back of the front guard. Two-thirds of the fullered single-edged blade blued and with fine, partially gilded etched decoration. An illegible maker's signature on the ricasso on the front. Cleaned corroson marks on the lower quarter of the blade. Scabbard of fire-gilt bronze with finely engraved and chiselled arabesque decoration. Magnificent and beautifully crafted sword of a high dignitary from the period of the French Consulate (1799-1804) or Premier Empire (1804-1815). Length: 94 cm.

The obverse sides set with engraved mother-of-pearl plates with floral decorations. On the front separately applied golden crucifix, above it bandeau with inscription "INRI". Below it inset heart made of mother-of-pearl. The back with applied Madonna figure and also inset mother-of-pearl heart with the " Armae Christi": crown of thorns and nails. Exceptionally finely crafted piece of finest jeweler's quality from the 17th - 18th century. 87 x 46 mm.

A fine precious yellow metal, blue enamel and pearl necklace together with a blue enamel and diamond set pendant/brooch, the necklace having yellow metal and blue and white spot enamel cylindrical links alternating with pearls, with yellow metal blue enamel and rose-cut diamond set clasp, length 35.5cm, and a matching yellow metal and blue enamel pendant/brooch, the bow form top with brooch fitting and with bail for use as a pendant, set old and rose cut diamonds, suspending large hinged drop below, with egg form centre set nine old-cut diamonds (centre stone approx. 0.75 carats) and smaller rose cut diamonds inbetween, the open work border set further old and rose cut diamonds, the hinged terminal similarly set with diamonds, the reverse with locket compartment, pendant/brooch height approx. 8cm. (gross weight 44.2g), in associated jewellers case.Condition note: Yellow metal assessed as high carat gold, very slight loss of enamel to main pendant in three places, lacking one small rose cut diamond to pendant.
