A papier mache writing slope, of rectangular form with shaped border raised on compressed bracket feet, the cover decorated with hand painted flowers with mother of pearl inlay and gilt highlights, opening to reveal four-compartment red velvet interior, 31cm x 25cm, together with a case pair of EPNS fish servers (2) CONDITION REPORT:Writing slope: shows extensive crazing to the lacquered finish of the top and cracking, staining and wear to the central mother of pearl inlay. The area around the lock shows losses and repairs. The back right foot is detached but present. The remaining feet show losses. The right hand hinge is loose. The gilt highlights are rubbed throughout. The velvet panel shows wear and fraying to the edges. The gilt highlights are extensively rubbed throughout.Fish servers: The bone handles show yellowing with build ups of dirt and possible staining around the EPNS mounts. The case shows wear, repairs and losses to the exterior, and dirt in the pleated details and satin lining of the interior.

General scratching and abrasion commensurate with age and wear. Varying degrees of wear to the claws, but stones appear secure. Shank in good order, no splits, misshaping, resizing or repair. Topaz 4.46mm diameter, sapphires 3.86mm.Peridot and Pearl: Heavy abrasion to the peridot's facet edges, no large chips, cracks or losses. Moderate wear to the nacre of the pearls, possible signs of glue repair. Claws and settings are in tact, stones secure. Some light misshaping and denting to the shank, and general scratching and wear. No splitting or signs of repair. This ring does appear to be converted from a wedding band. Peridot 4.87mm diameter.

One diamond shows a natural. All settings and surrounding stamen decoration is in tact and secure. There are some nicks, small chips and wear to the highpoints on the of the flower (see pictures). Some wear to the gilt highlight on the edges of the petals. the stem is in good order, the hinged pin is slightly bent to the tip but is in good working order. No signs of repair. Piece would benefit from professional cleaning.
