A pair of Georgian black leather shoes with buckles, a pair of early 19th Century velvet shoes with bead and wire embroidered decoration, a further pair of 19th Century shoes with needlework floral design and metal fringing and buttons with silk lining and a single 19th Century slipper shoe with brown velvet and embroidered foliate decoration CONDITION REPORTS Shoes with gold fringing on them only - length approx. 24.5 cm, width of sole at the widest point approx. 5.5 cm, gold fringing is bent in areas and the central medallions / buttons are tarnished and slightly mis-shapen, however, all appears to be there. The exterior of the shoes have some stretching to the areas where the coloured thread meets the main ground. Some small marks and staining. The soles are lightly worn. Assume re-soled over the years. The interior of the shoes - the silk is deteriorating and there are some signs of staining. Some losses to the blue binding edge. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. Slightly squashed with storage. See images for further detail.Pair of pearl set shoes badly faded, clearly originally meant to be purple, re-soled variously and stamped either 6 or 9. The wire braiding appears intact, worn in a few places. Possibly one pearl/white bead missing. Heel edges have been reinforced - see images for more details. Approximate length of foot platform 20 cm, sole including heel approx. 17 cm and sole at widest point approx. 5.5 cm.Leather shoes are creased throughout with some areas of the leather flaking, scuffed and with some worm type holes. Unknown if buckles are original, assume not due to stamps on base. Appear to have been resoled. Length of sole from toe to heel approx. 23 cm, platform for foot approx. 24.5 cm, width at widest part of sole approx. 7.5 cmSingle shoe has been relined to the interior, resoled, badly faded, some small marks to the velvet, wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for more details.
