A French silver musical snuff boxCharles-Jules Bunel, Paris circa 1821, stamped Paris 1st standard and moyenne garantie Deep rectangular form, a hinged cover opened by an applied scrolling thumbpiece, the interior featuring a stepped platform which covers a wind-up musical movement, winding hole to underside of base (no key), two control buttons to the front, the whole engine turned; in addition a German 18th century silver snuff box, Joseph Ade, Schwäbisch Gmünd circa 1750, rectangular form, the cover hinged and raised with tapering corners, featuring embossed shell decoration against a matted ground and moulded rims, the base simply engraved with a flower; a George III silver mounted mother-of-pearl snuff box, unmarked, wavy rectangular form, a pull-off cover with engine-turned mother-of-pearl to all sides, silver mounted edges and finally a large continental silver mounted agate snuff box, unmarked, octagonal with hinged cover, gilt interior, silver mounted agate with moulded floral and foliate borders.
