A group of jewellery, comprising; a long single row necklace of branch coral, a seed pearl set stick pin with a case, two rings, a baby's silver rattle, a silver oval hinged bangle with engraved decoration, Birmingham 1940, a Victorian oval pendant locket with a later 9ct gold multiple link neckchain, a 9ct gold necklace (damaged) and further gold and gilt metal fittings and chains, (qty). Condition Report Coral necklace; good condition, length 112cm, gross weight 86.5 gms.Seed pearl stick pin; a little tarnished at the back, top has probably been re-soldered into position.Two rings; Cameo ring; slightly rubbed to the cameo, all marcasites present.Opal ring; very pale colour saturation and a bit rubbed.Baby's rattle; very dented and heavily tarnished.Bangle; heavily tarnished and dented.Locket is dented.

Lot 1867

A gold, diamond, amethyst and cultured pearl necklace, the front claw set with a heart shaped amethyst and otherwise mounted with circular cut diamonds in an openwork design, suspended from two rows of uniform cultured pearls, with a case. Condition Report Length of necklace 44cm.The necklace is of fairly recent manufacture, it is marked 18 K 750 at the top of one of the diamond set stirrup shaped motifs, the diamonds are attractive white stones, that look to be fairly clear, the heart shaped amethyst is of medium colour saturation. The cultured pearls have a few surface blemishes throughout, however they have an attractive lustre. The necklace seems to have been hardly worn.

Condition Report Garnet three stone ring; few scuff marks, otherwise stones in good condition,Cultured pearl and green gem cluster ring; evidence of glue holding the cultured pearls in position, otherwise in good condition.Opal and sapphire cluster ring; opal is rather rubbed.Crossover ring; pearl is pushed down in setting and discoloured, otherwise generally good condition.All would benefit from professional cleaning.

Condition Report Moonstone brooch; in good condition, length 3.8cm.Scottish lyon brooch; poor quality casting, good condition, diameter 3.5cm.Seed pearl and mauve gem set brooch, mauve gem is put back in upside down, several seed pearls missing from the border.Bar brooch is missing three pendant drops, otherwise in quite good condition.

A baroque cultured pearl, gold, oxidised precious metal and diamond set brooch of flower design, set with a central baroque pearl between three yellow precious metal leaves set with rose cut diamonds, and stem, detailed 14k, with oxidised precious metal naturalistic leaves, gross weight 31.4gms.

Condition Report Amethyst brooch; one seed pearl is peeling and requires replacing, otherwise good condition, length 3.4cm.Moonstone oval brooch; hook to clasp bent over, hinge pin bent, hinge loose, moonstone at one end has been re-glued and is very off centre, another moonstone is pushed down in its setting, requiring adjustment, length 2.7cm.Pale blue gem set brooch is detailed 9 CT, hook to clasp is bent upwards, requires adjustment, otherwise in good condition, length 3.7cm.

Lot 1918

A gold, turquoise and seed pearl set heart shaped pendant locket, fitted to a gold and turquoise set oval link neckchain, on a cylindrical clasp, both circa 1900, length of neckchain 33cm, combined gross weight 10.4 gms, with a later case, (2). Condition Report The inside of the suspension loop is detailed 15 CT, the back of the pendant locket is not marked, the suspension loop is repaired at the back, the suspension loop to the top of the pendant has been re-soldered into position. One seed pearl is missing from the suspension loop. The turquoise to the centre of the heart is fairly well matched for colour, two or three turquoise have small chips, the outer border of turquoise has some variation of colour and two appear to be green replacement beads and are not turquoise. One or two of the outer turquoise are chipped. The setting of the centre heart cluster is silver, the outer part of the pendant is gold. The turquoise chain has some slight variation of the colour of the turquoise.length of heart Top of heart to bottom point. 21.5mm

19 th C Campaign Chest of Drawers - a Naval / Military Teak chest comprising 2 short drawers and three long drawers , all inlaid with boxwood on turned and raised short legs, circa 1830, with campaign brass handles and brass fitments ( no wooden dowels). Once owned by the captain of the WW2 Prince of Wales ship where WS Churchill and US President Franklin D Roosevelt signed the Atlantic Charter , (comes via family) 39 1/2? wide x 18? deep x 40" High. (101.4 x 46.6 x 102.5 cm) John Catterall "Jack" Leach, DSO, MVO was a British naval officer. He was the only captain of HMS Prince of Wales. John Leach was awarded his DSO as a result of his pursuit of the Bismarck after the Hood had been sunk by the German ship. Leach died when the ship sunk on the 10 th December 1941 aged 47 The Prince of Wales was a King George V Class Royal Navy battleship. She had an extensive battle history, first seeing action in August 1940 while still being outfitted she was attacked and damaged by German aircraft. She was involved in several key actions of the Second World War, including the May 1941 Battle of the Denmark Strait against the German battleship Bismarck and then attempting to intercept Japanese troop convoys off the coast of Malaya . She was sunk on 10 December 1941, her final battle, which was three days after the attack on Pearl Harbour. She was sunk alongside HMS Repulse by Japanese bombers. They became the first capital ships to be sunk solely by air power on the open sea.
