Clasp stamped 750. Total length approximately 46cm. Weight approximately 60.9gms.

A PEARL, DIAMOND, SAPPHIRE AND RUBY BROOCH c.1890 Modelled as a butterfly, the body set with five graduating claw and collet set pearls and two ruby highlights for the eyes, set between two pairs of wings, the largest each set with seven graduating rose cut diamond highlights in a pierced detail mount set with three round mixed cut claw set rubies as end terminals, the smallest each set with three graduating rose cut diamond highlights and a single oval mixed four claw set sapphire as an end terminal, with moulded metal work for the legs and antennae, on detachable brooch pin fitting. Width approximately 3.6cm. Weight approximately 9.3gms. The pearls are untested and unwarranted.

Stamped 9CT, Weight approximately 4.4gms; together with a seed pearl and lapis lazuli brooch, circa 1890-1900, the oval cut lapis lazuli collet set within a surround of thirty six claw set seed pearl highlights, all set on a closed back mount engraved to the reverse "Grace Redmayne, August 28th 1894, from her Father", on a brooch pin fitting.
