A Victorian eight day mantel clock striking on a bell (bell missing), the case with scroll acanthus feet, drop handles and acanthus borders to the body with stepped top rising to a two handled urn. The eight day two barrel movement has Brocot suspension (suspension spring missing), the face in ivory porcelain with black gothic numerals and cast fretted gilt centre with lion mask. 22x15x40cm. high.Good general condition, believed working but needing suspension spring for pendulum. One drop on one handle broken off, securing nut beneath urn missing.

A fine large gilt brass cased carriage style mantel clock by James Gowland, 32, London Wall, with canted corner pillars and gilt panels engraved overall with scrolling and flowerheads, the faceted bar handle on tooled scroll supports and having a silvered dial with black Roman numerals. Ht. 20cm., handle raised.Excellent general condition, movement apparently complete but not working . No key. Back steel door lock has been forced but door undamaged.
A fine mantel clock by Frodsham, Gracechurch Street, London, in rosewood case with bar handle on scroll supports having lions' heads, bevelled glass side and top panels, the double fusee movement chiming on a bell ( replacement of the original coiled gong), the silvered face with subsidiary seconds dial and engraved quadrants.This estimate reflects the need for specialist replacements/repairs to the movement to this desirable clock.
