A modern black lacquered and chinoiserie decorated mantel clock in the 18th Century manner, the movement by Elliott of London, retailed by Ernest Jones of Cirencester, 28 cm high CONDITION REPORTS There are a couple of chips to the lacquer work on the back of the clock. Otherwise some losses to the gilding. There appears to be a couple of cracks within the woodwork on the top of the front and some loss to the shine on the lacquer work, possibly through handling. There is a crack to the moulding at the base and the right hand side. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for further detail. Appears to be running though unsure on time keeping.
