This lot includes a Walnut Elliott Tempus Fugit mantel clock. The clock having a silvered dial with angel spandrels, Roman numerals, approx 26 x 16 cms, brass carry handle.
A Louis XV style ormolu and champleve enamel mantel clock by Dufaud of Paris, late 19th century, the 8-day movement chiming on a coil gong (pendulum missing). The cresting as Cupid grasping an arrow above a body of colourful enamel panels the convex dial with raised shield tablet indices. Supported by cast scroll legs and a classical mask apron. 13 cm wide x 10 cm deep x 30 cm high.Note: Dufaud is recorded as working at Rue de Saintonge in 1870 (Tardy, Dictionnaire des Horlogers Français, Paris, p. 197).
