18th century French mantel clock by: Lepaute Andre Jean and Pochon, lepaute Andre Jean and Pochon a Paris. The announcer's recommendation, an antique and very high-quality French mantel clock from the 18th century, made by: 'Pochon a Paris', made of white Parian marble and bronze with a black patina, part coated with gold (Ormolu / Dore bronze), at the top of the clock an allegorical figure of prudence (Allegory of Prudence) which is often mistakenly described as Queen Cleopatra and the snake and her birth Themis (the goddess of justice in Greek mythology - or by her other name Justitia (or Justitia), the goddess of justice in Roman mythology) according to a design by Antoine Foullet (1710-1775), the literature plate is signed by a manufacturer The Lepaute Andre Jean mechanism (Lepaute Andre Jean, an important French watchmaker who worked in Paris between the years: 1720-1789), working condition has not been tested, total height: 41 cm, depth from the front to the wall: 12 cm, length of the front: 41 cm. A circa 1910 French oak and inlaid cased mantel clock in the Art Deco / Seccessionist manner, the movement by R & Co. of Paris, with white enamel dial and Roman numerals (glass to the face smashed), 30 cm high CONDITION REPORTS There is a section of copper missing just below the dial. The copper on the "noughts and crosses board", the bottom line is slightly raised. There is a water staining / marks to the oak throughout. Mechanism is ticking but does not appear to be keeping time. Mechanism is pitted, etc. and there is a random piece of metal lying across at the base. In need of a little tlc. Glass as stated is obviously smashed but the dial appears generally OK. In need of a clean and with general wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for further detail.
A late 19th Century green onyx cased mantel clock of architectural form, the eight day movement by Samuel Marti of Paris, the dial with Arabic numerals inscribed "Knight", 29 cm wide x 27 cm high, together with a Vienna type regulator wall clock, 29.5 cm wide x approx 50 cm deep and a circa 1900 oak cased and carved banjo barometer thermometer, with silver plaques inscribed "Presented to MAF Hailing on the Occasion of his Marriage January 4th 1911 by the Members of the Roseleigh Cricket Club", etc, etc., 88 cm high
A mahogany dome top mantel clock, 19th century, the painted dial signed 'Saml. Shortman, Newnham', Roman numerals, twin fusee movement with bell strike, side ring handles above arched brass scale fret panels, on ball feet 43cm highdial probably retouched/repainted. The front glass bezel hinge is weak. Movement not tested and stops after a few minutes so probably needs attention. A few age age marks to case. Old damage noted to rear door.

We would suggest professional attention. General knocks, surface wear, rubbing and tarnish to case commensurate with age and use. Some wear and crazing to dial. Candelabra a little dirty but overall appear in good order.
