Central gilt brass dial with white cartouche hour markers with bold blue Roman Numeral chapter ring and faceted hands. Cherub putti musician to top. Open glass panel showing the swinging pendulum and further boulle work inlay to the inside door and interior. All raised on scrolled feet. Measures approx: 41cm tall.

Measures approx 63cm.Provenance; originally consigned from Tredean House: Tredean House, Devauden, Monmouthshire is a country house dating from 1901-02. It was designed in an Arts and Crafts style by the architect Arthur Jessop Hardwick.

The case with a crack running from the front to the back at the top. The silvering to the dial heavily rubbed and tarnished and the bezel is heavily tarnished and rusted throughout. No glass for the inside of the bezel. Case grubby and with general wear, the grille to the back door is bent and partly detached. Internally the movement is very grubby.
