A late 19th century French gilt metal and onyx mantel clock, the drum shaped timepiece with white enamel dial set with Roman numerals flanked by figures above a stepped onyx base on a gilt heightened standard overall upon a walnut plinth under a glass dome, overall height 47cm (glass dome af).
Lot 1616
A late 19th century French gilt metal and porcelain mounted mantel clock, the circular well painted dial set with a central floral garland within gilt heightened ovals depicting Roman numerals and with eight day Vincenti & Co movement within an ornately decorated scrolling case surmounted with twin birds, height 48cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a small floral spray broken off to the front of the clock but the piece is present, as is the loose porcelain panel as you look to the right of the dial. Overall the case is extremely dirty as are the porcelain panels but show no signs of any further damage. The central porcelain dial is very well painted whilst the other panels appear slightly less in quality. There is also a pendulum and key with the clock.
