A Victorian grey veined marble figural clock garniture The mantel clock with a 8.9cm dial with Roman numerals, the two train Japy Freres movement with an outside count wheel striking on a saucer bell, variegated grey marble case surmounted with a classical figure lions mask ring handles raised upon a stepped shaped plinth and lions paw feet 46cm x 22cm x 14cm with a pair of conforming gilt metal revolving four branch candelabra supported on a leaf pendant baluster column conforming bases 45cm (3) with a pendulum and a later key. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: The mantel clock, the figure surmounting the clock good condition however, would have been holding something in his raised arm, now missing, marble in good condition, right hand marble panel beneath the ring 2 minor chips to marble at the base at the back, two small holes on the left and right sides on top of the frieze plinth at the bottom, very minor holes some wobble in the hinge on the glazed bezel, no chips to winding aperture holes, minor wobble to the rear glazed roundel hinged door, each candelabra no breaks to metalwork, one pendent leaf on the left of the baluster shaft loose, marble good condition, feet good condition, the matching candelabra some movement which revolves the candelabra, minor bend in the left hand branch requires minor straightening,very, very minor bruise to the marble on the shaped cavetto above the frieze, three minor chips to marble at the back on the plinth, possibly old crack to marble on the base of the plinth, generally in good condition. Working condition - we do not guarantee a clock to be in working condition, however in this case the striking movement is working but requires adjustment because the hour strike occurs on the half hour, the clock is working but not left running for a long time.
A Victorian brass variegated marble and hardstone mantel clock With a 9cm dial with Roman numerals, the two train Japy Freres movement No: 4216 striking on a saucer bell, the architectural case with variegated marble inset columns applied with hardstone roundels raised upon a plinth base and bracket feet, 29x25x14.5cms.
Late 19th century red boulle work tortoiseshell mantel clock, white enamel dial and numerals, Aubert Klaftenberger Geneva, with keys. 30 cms tall. Interior label dated 1925 stating 'Repaired by R Churcher Cyril Rd Bournemouth', White enamel damage around winding holes, front glass missing, boulle work in good condition.
